Das «Viva Glam Magazine» stellte kürzlich fest: «Wenn du Lana del Rey magst, wirst du Lauren Carter lieben.» Vom «American Dream» singt Lauren Carter auch auf ihrer neuen Single, dem Titletrack der kommenden EP (Release Mai 2017). Im Januar 2017 unterschrieb Lauren Carter bei «Turn up the Pop!»-Records. Dort erscheint im Mai ihre EP «American Dream». Geschrieben hat sie den Song mit den mit Mehrfach-Platin ausgezeichneten Andrew Williams, der schon mit T-Bone Burnett und Jessica Simpson gearbeitet hat. Das Ergebnis dieser Songwriting-Zusammenarbeit begeisterte Star-DJ Thomas Godel, der unter seinem Pseudonym DJ Cosmo bislang über zwei Millionen Singles verkaufte. Er liess es nicht nicht nehmen, den Titeltrack zu remixen. Das Resultat ist eine souliger und eingängiger Dancetrack, der ? wie das Original ? von Lauren Carters eindringlicher Stimme getragen wird. Damit wird sie auch weiterhin in den Medien vertreten sein.
