Opening track „Machine Learning“ by Costello a dance floor weapon with an abstract vibe - its rhythm feels like the sound of robots on an assembly line that suddenly that started rewriting their own code.
„Odd Behavior“ by Modeplex hits a darker tone; melodic vibes with lots of sub bass and a mysterious voice casting spells.
Jeremy Olander contributes „Phonox“, a driving and melancholic tune with punch and an analog feel to it.
And closing off the FTTF31 is Doriann and Randoree’s „Mention“ with eclectic percussion work and hypnotic synths and vocals.

COD3 QR delivers a double whammy for the next digital release with tracks by Tal Fussman and Costello taking the helm of [QR]D.158.DWM.24, as Laurent Garnier selects two Detroit orientated string bangers that go straight to the point at delivering the perfect positive tunes for your summer.

Tal Fussman creates music that works in many settings and transcends genres.  His openness to a wide range of sound is what has both made him a widely loved favourite, but also someone who operates in his own parallel musical world.  In late 2022 he announced the launch of his imprint, Survival Tactics, with the first release being his debut album released in 2023.  Tal grew up in a small town next to Tel Aviv, today he resides in Berlin and ready to take on whatever adventure awaits him.

Costello is a versatile French electronic music producer, artist and DJ known for his cutting-edge sound and technical prowess.  With a rich discography that traverses techno, disco and beyond, Costello has carved out a niche as a genre-defying act. His standout tracks have not only captured the attention of underground stalwarts like Boys Noize and Laurent Garnier but have also made waves among mainstream giants such as David Guetta and Tiësto.  Behind the decks, Costello's sets are a masterclass in energy and groove, showcasing his diverse musical heritage and relentless pursuit of innovation.

Laurent Garnier's COD3 QR presents the magnificent seven on the latest digital release, "[QR]D.320.MFS.24", which features exclusive tracks by both label regulars and new signings: Alex Rothschild, Loloman, Costello, Manuel-M, Carlos Nilmmns, Jim Rivers and Onur Ozman.

Alex Rothschild aka Coco Basel is a producer and DJ whose musical journey was shaped by a decade in New York. During this time, he was deeply influenced by house music legends such as Todd Terry, Terry Hunter, Frankie Knuckles, David Morales, and Louie Vega. Now he's gravitating towards minimalist electronic music, like "Cosmorak", enriched with groovy basslines, while retaining the New York and Detroit essences that have defined his style.

Loloman is a leading French producer creating music without adhering to conventional rules, blending styles, synthesizing sounds, and unveiling a unique and diverse musical world filled with strong emotions and a groove that aims for universality, inspired by his extensive experience on the dancefloor. He has previously released tracks on the likes of MB Elektroniks, Brique Rouge, Metrohm, and here with his latest for Cod3 QR, "The Wall”.

Costello is a versatile French electronic music producer, artist, and DJ known for his cutting-edge sound and technical prowess. With a rich discography that traverses techno, disco and beyond, Costello has carved out a niche as a genre-defying act which he brings to new track "Dream Operator". His standout tracks have previously captured the attention of underground stalwarts like Boys Noize, Solomon for releases on their labels. And of course Laurent Garnier.

A discreet yet respected artist on the scene, Manuel-M has been working passionately behind his machines since 2008. He remains attached to an old-school vision, marked by the pioneers of techno, while incorporating his style through contemporary sound design as displayed on his track "Take". His major influences, notably Technasia, Vince Watson and Ken Ishii, are reflected in his compositions, which are both eclectic and deeply rooted in the music's heritage. Manuel navigates between genres, with releases on other renowned labels such as Tronic and Brique Rouge.

Ross McMillan aka Carlos Nilmmns is a UK producer, originally from Glasgow (Scotland) but now living in Angers (France), whose name has become synonymous with an eclectic but often deep and sensual sound. In the past, he's released on some of the world's best-of-breed labels including Circus Company, Cocoon, Ornaments, KMS, Planet E and Dopewax. Here he delivers the jazz-infused beauty, "Just Another Day".

Returning to the studio after several years hiatus, Jim Rivers aka Copy Paste Soul has picked up where he left off. With previous releases on Bedrock, Global Underground, Renaissance and an album on Carl Cox's Intec label, Jim's back catalogue is awash with variety, made with a depth and warmth few can match. After finding time to immerse himself back into the studio, the past few months have been a hive of activity, culminating in a string of new productions for Poker Flat, Traum and here on COD3 QR with the driving "Canna".

Onur Ozman is one of the more remarkable names in Deep House. He is an artist and a professional architect, who combines both disciplines in his precise productions. Sound design to the smallest details. Now based in Zurich (Switzerland), Onur started his career as a prominent member of the Istanbul House music scene in early 2005, and his musical talent has since led to him releasing music on labels like Sum Over Histories, Isolate, Yoshitoshi, Hottrax, Rebirth, Noir Music and Kwench. His love for the origins of electronic music mixed with a commitment to the discovery of new sounds gives his catalogue a wide range, with no genre restrictions, like this experimental closing track "If U Want".

As the head of Lumière Noire Records, CHLOÉ has been instrumental in developing a platform where the most contemporary electronic artists can thrive. The Parisian DJ/producer’s forward-thinking spirit has enabled her to collate an eclectic roster producing beautifully innovative sounds that’ll be just as suited to museums, installations and art exhibits as they are at dancefloors, clubs and festivals.

LAUER’s single ‘H00V’ will act as the introduction on this mini-VA series release on the 23rd May, with the full package featuring tracks from Paresse, Costello and an exclusive collaboration with CHLOÉ and Destiino will be out on the 6th June.

Paresse’s ‘SEM EMS’ opens the release with the genre-splicing Stockholm native completing the VA’s impressive cast of contributors. A methodically designed arrangement of dub-laced melodies and motorised grooves, its choppy mix of low-end and digitalised undertones revolves uninterrupted with woofer shaking intent before the beat comes to an abrupt halt.

Bordeaux native, Costello is renowned for his versatile productions, on his track ‘Fresh Flesh’ he incorporates a jagged, fractured melody that bumps alongside haunted organ strings that permeate each breakdown. With nods to dark disco and minimal house throughout, the unpredictability of the VA’s opener sets a truly intriguing precedent as for what’s to follow.

A long-time collaborator of CHLOÉ’s, Yuksek revives his mysterious Destiino alias to collaborate with her on ‘Venere’. Feverish and choppy from the get-go, it features far-out melodics that click together to produce a wonderfully weird amalgamation of hissing synths, chunky bass notes, and a series of mystifying effects that snap and pop across its stuttering, robotic soundscape.

Frankfurt renowned DJ/producer LAUER who had already contributed a track to the label’s ‘From Above Vol.1’ compilation back in 2018, adds a garage-like edge to the VA with his track ‘H00V’ to act as the teaser single on the 23rd May. A stomping maelstrom of percussion underpinned by a nose-diving, mottled bassline makes up the core of this 00s-era throwback, which rigidly sticks to the 4x4 blueprint as bells ring, snares snap and laser-strobe effects flash to create a darkly crafted but still vibrant composition.

With Madbot EP, Bordeaux-based electronic producer Costello sharpens his signature blend of emotional depth and club precision, delivering a release that feels both cerebral and instinctive.

Opening track “Automat” dives into melodic techno territory, driven by widescreen, cinematic synthwork that unfolds with a patient, hypnotic progression. It’s sleek yet evocative, tailor-made for late-night transitions.

“Mezze” switches gears with a fluid triplet groove and uplifting synths that bring warmth and elevation, offering a luminous contrast to the EP’s darker edges.

The title track, “Madbot”, hits with a rugged breakbeat pulse, its chant-like vocals echoing through layers of metallic percussion and shadowy atmospherics — a hybrid cut that blurs the line between introspection and raw kinetic force.

Closing the release, rising French electronic producer Belaria pushes “Madbot” into faster, rave-leaning territory, amplifying its tension with a sharper club focus — a high-voltage rework that retains Costello’s emotional charge while cranking up the floor energy.

Released on Lumière Noire, Madbot EP fits squarely within the label’s boundary-pushing aesthetic. It’s a statement piece from a producer steadily carving his lane in the contemporary underground.
