Cronic from Zürich is one of the most outstanding DJs of Switzerlands oldschool Drum&Bass generation. Well-known for his diverse rollers selection and high-precision mixing, his love for all things music started at the young age of twelve by playing the piano and guitar. He got his first gig in early 1998 and soon formed Tensionstate alongside fellow local artists Basshunter, Alex, Radix, Oldskool and MC Riddimflirt. In the following years Cronic became one of the most active DJ’s in the scene and helped promoting events such as One Nation, Kings of the Jungle, Bass Attack or even the Street Parade D&B Trucks. It was during that time when he met Swiss old school Don Fine Style. They have built a studio at Fine Styles house to produce their own music and have been smashing countless dance floors back 2 back ever since. DJing Highlights include gigs in the UK on pivotal radio stations Kool FM and Ruud Awakening FM and at events like Pure Science and Champion Sounds alongside MCs Eksman, Herbzie, Fatman D and Skibadee. But also gigs and residencies like Kings of the Jungle at MS Connexion in Mannheim or at legendary venues Bierhübeli in Bern, Usine in Geneva or Rohstofflager in Zürich stand out. Since the early studio years at Fine Styles house, Cronic has continued working on his own music productions and contributing to various studio projects such as „First Take Beatz“ alongside jazz musician and childhood friend M-Bassik. For the last 15 years Cronic and Fine Style have been promoting the Jungle and Drum&Bass event series „Electronic Music Review“ at Kraftfeld Winterthur.
