This Week In Chiptune is a  podcast featuring underground electronic music from around the world. The show was produced and hosted by Dj CUTMAN, and ran from 2013 to 2017. All 200 episodes were streamed lived, and made available as a Podcast after the broadcast. The show featured nearly a thousand indie electronic musicians, and each episode features an annotated track-list and download links when available.

The entire This Week in Chiptune archive can be streamed on YouTube and downloaded via Soundcloud. It is also available as a Podcast from Apple and Microsoft.

TWiC is an anthology of the underground electronic music sometimes referred to as 8-bit, lofi, bitpop, chiptunes or chip-music. It’s unique to other forms of electronica because of how it’s created, often using simple synthesizers and software called a Tracker. Today, Chiptune instrumentation can be heard everywhere, from radio anthems to hit video games.

More music from the movie "Piedra Noche" (Dusk Stone), directed by Iván Fund. I composed this score back in 2020 and was able to have it recorded by a live orchestra in Buenos Aires. I'm extremely happy with the overall result.

The movie had its first run in theaters early this year in Argentina. Hopefully it will be available worldwide soon for you all to see. For now, here's a trailer:

This is an arranged version of the Final Fantasy 4 main theme.
Similar to the arrangement of FF8's Laguna, I made bold and extensive changes from the original composition.
I felt relieved when I switched to HalionSonic because Nexus strings didn't quite fit the sound I wanted.
The original theme from the game played while roaming around for a long time in the field, trying to obtain summoning items like Goblins and Cockatrices.
I listened to it quite extensively during that time, so I didn't reference the original composition while working on this arrangement.
I apologize if there are any mistakes.
I hope you enjoy listening to it.

TWiC 196: Future Internet Dance Music

This episode we're going to focus on hardware based chiptune music, including gameboy songs made with the homebrew rom LSDj, Nintendo-style music made with NES compatible program Famitracker, and FM Synthesis like the Sega Genesis! Fans of old PC games will be pleased to know we've got an album created entirely on the Sound Blaster 16, a soundcard for home computers released back in 1992. That's what we're going to hear first, by chiptune legend and Oxygen Star who got his start performing live drums at PAX East in Boston.
