This is my University dissertation EP called PH1(Unsigned) It is my interpretation of the evolution and development of Acid Music. All made on the Roland TB-303. PH1 EP

The single is topped off with a remix by Life and Death chief Manfredi Romano aka DJ Tennis, who boosts the kicks while keeping the loose samba magic. The pair met in Mexico, and the kindred spirits immediately hit it off. After bouncing versions back and forth between Siracusa and also a studio in Paris, the final version was realized, full of floaty Rhodes chords and cavaquinho thrills that will lighten any dance.

Squelch

DaVak a DJ/Producer out of Leeds running a label and making waves within the new wave.


DaVak, the alias of Jack Hatton, is a DJ/Producer from Leeds, UK and is one half of @InflectRecords, a fresh new label combining old-school Disco with acid and techno in a concoction of abstract styles blended into the one 'Inflect Style'. You can hear the monthly residency on Melodic Distraction Radio showcasing his label and the music of Galaxies beyond our own.

Fascinated with music from a very young age, Davak was brought up on Rock, Pop and Disco but soon his love for electronic music was born, with the help of rave culture and its history within  such places as Manchester and clubs like Hacienda during the late 80’s. Davak attended festivals and club nights from a young age and from that day he knew that music was his passion. 

The dream began as a reality with the release of a mini LP last year which showcased the progression of Acid music through time. Davak is passionate about Acid music, hardware and obscure sound design. Now he is focused on the label and expressing a unique blend of electronica. Inflect promises to be a rising force in the Indie dance scene, a scene that is blossoming into a dominant style in electronic music for the future. Davak continues to DJ around Europe, demonstrating his passion and belief in electronic music.
