Music Is the Answer

“Faded Mauve” opens with a warm, filtered pad like sunlight diffused through gauze gently wrapping the space in a soft, analogue haze. It breathes slowly, setting a tone that’s intimate yet spacious, grounded but dreamlike. Beneath it, organic textures flicker into focus: rustling percussion, hand played rhythms, and field recordings that feel as if they’ve been unearthed from quiet places.

A synth lead eventually rises restrained, soulful, and slightly worn at the edges painting broad strokes of nostalgia across the groove. It doesn’t push forward so much as drift, like the color mauve fading on old cloth, familiar but hard to place. The rhythm glides with a natural grace, gently propulsive yet never hurried, echoing the feeling of walking through a place you used to know.

DJ DaveyB's music attracts party house-music enthusiasts looking for a mix of classics and the tunes they will love tomorrow. He currently mixes his two main residencies - Summertime Live and the Ivy Asia - with one off dance events and regular shows on radio stations CodeSouth.fm and 4TheMusic.
DJ DaveyB is known for his passionate, physicals DJ sets, where the crowd feel a personal connection as they all lose themselves in the music. His deep, melodic, and vibrant house music never fails to fill the dance floor and keep people there until lights come on.

Originally from the heart of the UK's vibrant music scene, in the 90’s DjDaveyB was know for his four years at Lakota and Official Lakota Warm-Up Parties and co-founding Vurt, a groundbreaking night on the south coast of the UK with friend Ed Real (A&R for Nukleus Records). Vurt became a synonymous night with some of the greatest events during the 1990’s showcasing some of the best dance music of the time.

Throughout the 2000s, David held a ten-year residency at Living, Brixton, London, where he consistently filled the club every Friday and Saturday night, with a huge cohort of regulars who came week after week to lose themselves in his mix of classic and upfront house music.

In 2011, he was selected as a resident DJ for Coca-Cola on the Olympic Torch Relay, travelling across the country and collaborating with notable artists like Mark Ronson and KatyB to deliver ‘once in a lifetime experiences’ that left a lasting impact on the audience.
Currently, DJDaveyB serves as a resident DJ at Ivy Asia in Brighton, where he specialises in sets of deep, sumptuous melodic house music, setting the perfect vibe for an unforgettable night, meaning his bookings come in week on week.

This summer is his fourth as resident DJ for Summertime Live dance festivals. He is proud to be part of the Summertime Live family, enjoying the many platforms it offers - warm up on the main stage (before live Ibiza Orchestra and special guests), headliner on second stage, and VIP area DJ - the more he can play the better! He regularly DJs alongside Goldierocks, Wideboys, The Artful Dodger and DJ SKT plus supports artists like Sonique and BabyD. He has recently been out to Ibiza to play at Cafe del Mar for the 2023 summer season.

Listeners can tune in to Codesouth Radio in Brighton to experience his cutting-edge sets, where his skillful track selections and seamless transitions is earning him a dedicated following.

Recently, DJ DaveyB has embarked on a new chapter in his musical adventure, delving into producing his own music. Drawing from years of experience behind the decks, his productions have gained early recognition and have been embraced by music enthusiasts.

Throughout his journey, DJ DaveyB's passion, dedication and love for bringing people together through the universal language of music have been evident. Whether he's energising dance floors at festivals, playing to restaurant go-ers with his journeys into deep house or crafting captivating tracks in the studio, one thing is certain - DJDaveyB is on a mission with his absolute love of music to create memories for everyone who joins him.
