David Howley vinyl 13 01 2018



David was born in South Weymouth, Massachusetts, USA and moved with his family to Barcelona when he was 14. There he studied Image and Sound graduating in 2007. In this lively, international,trendy Catalan capital, David's passion for electronic music was born. Here he performed original DJ sets using vinyl records. In doing so he discovered top underground clubs like MOOG, NITSA, and the LOFT where he listened to top DJ's; thus, building a strong knowledge of techno, trance and minimal music. David began producing electronic music in 2011 inspired by Border Community, Kompakt, Cocoon, and Minus labels. Moving to Italy one year later, he began work as a sound technician for Duna Studio owned by Andrea Scardovi. Surrounded by the stimulating musical environment of the studio, David's new motivation led to collaborations with artists such as Gaetano Alfonsi and Nicola Peruch. His artistic project developed creating an original style that spans modular sound to acoustic instruments. This album was recorded and mixed at Duna Studio and perfectly reflects David's image of electronic music.
