On a cold winters night inside a gomper located somewhere inland of the vast expanse of Australian countryside two minds combined to infuse their magic into a recording by a Victorian cabaret ska band know as Spyndrift. The advanced apes trusted with the raw materials were Deadlock from London and Chenjesu from Melbourne respectively. This international collaboration is a fusion of traditional laid-back dub style beats and cutting edge bass driven experimentalism laced with the sultry vocals of Spyndrift’s own Elle. The listener is carried on a journey through an evolving landscape that enters into unexplored aural territory where banana tree’s grows rampant. You won’t find it easy to get this monkey off your back.

Deadlock, a London born and bred Dj with over a decade of experience built up his name on the warehouse and squat party circuit before getting his own radio show on one of London's most respected Drum &amp; Bass radio stations "Origin FM". Deadlock has played with the likes of Grooverider, Andy C and SubFocus across Europe, Asia and Australia and is now based in Shanghai co-running Rankadank Records with founder Conrank. With many years experience in the scene, Deadlock is now getting ready to release his first single in the new year.

Deadlock's sets are deftly crafted with an expansive sense of journey directed straight at the dance floor zigzagging genres between drum &amp; bass, glitch, urban klezmer and farmstep. Deep, infectious and evocative!
