DJ Deckstrous. long time fan of the fun+k & all things you can dance to. I was born in Hammersmith West London in 1964. My parents are my biggest influence. Also people like Funkadelic-Afrika Bambaataa-Egyptian Lover-Ultramagnetic MCs-KRS One-X Clan-Dynamix II & many more. My mother is a Grenadian of Scottish origins who emigrated to the UK in the 60s & my Farther is of Irish & Spanish origin. He played a saxophone & was very much in to Jazz Music & liked people like Weather Report-Urethra Franklin & The Crusaders. Some weekends they would hold parties at home or at family & friends houses which was a lots of fun & were really good times. I started DJing in 1984 & some of my homeboys from around Brentford way were rapping at that time. So we formed a crew called the Vital Groove with rappers like. Angel-Freaky P-Private P-Shaky B  Modesty-Mc Spice-MC Squid & Grand MC but we all drifted apart after a year or so. Now a days I DJ on www.globalfunkradio.com on a Wednesday at 18.00 till 20.00 GMT.
