Deekline and Tipa Irie are bringing the smooth grooves and ragga vibes in the place on their latest colab for Jungle Cakes. Setting the perfect mood for the summer Deekline has laced this chilled out, tropical Jungle beat with Tipa’s infectious vocal. Calling up Voltage & Nicky Blackmarket for remix duties they’ve kept some of the Caribbean feel but added some down low dirt to the mix. And no Deekline release would be complete with out some garage for the house heads, bringing a little bit of the 90s warehouse feel to the release, a sub heavy sound that will cause some serious damage on the floor.

With the necessary foundations laid, new imprint Congo Natty Bass is due to launch  August 2012, with a focus on signing key releases and the very best music the jungle movement has on offer - 20 years after it's inception!

Kicking off the label discography - Rebel MC is proud to present Nanci Correia and Phoebe Hibbert aka Iron Dread with new single " Notorious ".  These 2 females with attitude are spearheading the return of this generations Jungle sounds. Their fresh take on hosting DJ sets breaks all genre conventions creating a new eclectic sound, mixing hip-hop flows, powerful and provoking lyrics, booming bass lines and stringent bluesy harmonies.

Urban online magazine Who’s Jack wrote that Nanci’s “powerful pipes [to] rival those of Adele and Florence Welch”. Phoebe’s lyrics encapsulates urban living, spiritually relating to, and engaging, a wide politically, emotionally aware audience. Since 2009, based in Brixton South London, the pair have been working in the studio with Congo Natty and are now ready to surface and take this summer by storm.

Irish wobble-maestros Dirty Dubsters continue their relentless assault on the junodownload charts, unveiling "Girls Pon Mi Mind" a eminently carnival ready collaboration with Champion UK Deejay Top Cat, which comes backed with some switch em up remixes. The original version pays equal attention to the chunked out beats as it does the authentic dubbed out skank riddims that shift in and out of focus along with some vintage JA horns, whilst Top Cat's distinctive delivery rides the circa 140bpm bump with aplomb. Those wanting something a bit rowdier will no doubt be satisfied by the accompanying remixes from Liondub and Spenda C which flip "Girls Pon Mi Mind"in a vintage jungle stylee and main room dubstep way respectively.

"UK Allstars (Congo Natty meetys Benny Page - Radio Edit)" featuring Tenor Fly, Top Cat, General Levy, Tippa Irie, Sweetie Irie and Daddy Freddy, taken from the album "Jungle Revolution", to be released on Big Dada Recordings, 1 July 2013. 

Congo Natty aka Rebel MC has a career dating back to his early hit with Double Trouble, "Street Tuff," but is probably most respected as one of the pioneers of Jungle - perhaps the first uniquely UK-born bass music. 

"Jungle Revolution" features the whole of the extended Congo Natty family and was mixed with Adrian Sherwood. Clearly showing this Rasta's belief that Jungle is a re-boot of roots reggae for a new century, the record is full of blood and fire, the sternum-buzz of sub-bass, rapid fire drum breaks, sweet hooks, righteous anger and professions of religious fervour. It’s the kind of passionate, committed, raw and spiritual, beautiful record that doesn’t come along every day.  

To celebrate this release, we are streaming the track "UK Allstars," which features a who's who of British soundsystem culture. This is the first time ever that this line up have all appeared on one track together and so also marks a historic coming together of a scene which lies at the roots of so much of what we now take for granted in UK music, from dubstep to grime to drum & bass and beyond.
