Here's my DJ set from my debut gig at Concrete in Paris on Friday 26th September 2015, which they kindly recorded for me to share with you all. Such lovely people.
I played for the first 3 hours & 40 minutes & Josh Wink played the second 3 hours. As I was opening up the floor, I started with a couple of disco tracks, then 80s deep house until the room was ready for me to pull down their trouser & spank their bottoms. 
It was so much fun & I can't wait to go back to play for them again. Amazing club, wonderful crowd & great hospitality.

It was an incredibly big honor to have been asked to be a part of the second Further Future event, even more so for the opportunity to play on the revered Robot Heart stage alongside so many DJs and producers I am personally quite fond of. I had so much music that I wanted to share, many styles and directions, so I decided (as I started my set with a homage to one of my very early electronic music inspirations Leftfield) to show a cross-section of the current vibes I like to share with you all, from the ambient intro to the final 124bpm throwback epic ‘Rave Child’ by DJ Metatron. The words legend and trailblazer are too often used in the world of dance music, but those words are no exaggeration when it comes to US DJ/Producer Kimball Collins.  From his legendary AAHZ club helping to jump start the underground trance and progressive house scenes, being one of the early American artists to play UKs Ministry of Sound and Renaissance, to his current smokin' hot appearances at clubs, festivals and for Robot Heart … he has stayed true to breaking underground music. 

Remaining as relevant to this day as ever, Kimball's artistic playing style effortlessly moves across genre boundaries.  This is also evident in his studio work.  His sounds are like traveling from dusty playas, exotic lands, romantic castles, sci-fi synth labs to the bass-heavy melodic techno chambers! We hope you enjoy this very special podcast from a true legend and one of the nicest guys in the industry!

About the CD:
005 of the 'Classic Mix CD' collection brings a much slower affair. From the superb 'Back To Mine' CD series. The first I purchased was actually Danny Tenaglia's disc, which I bought out of curiosity being a fan of his house DJ sets. That disc almost made it here, but it was the Groove Armada release which really got hammered on my old Sony stereo. No other disc reminds me of lazy summer sundays more than this. And it was really the first musical selection that steered me towards collecting and playing a mix of music all together. Going from A Tribe Called Quest, into Barry White's incredible "Playing Your Game Baby" then house and other genre's coming in.... really resonated with me and elevated the way I put music together. Both listening to and playing out. A truly seminal release.
