DJ Depth-Resilience - 2002 [DJ Mix]

The name speaks for itself.  Influenced by Desiderata Festival 2010 which landed so close to home in Upstate, NY at the beautiful estates of Gelston Castle.  I was fortunate to have landed a gig on main stage alongside high caliber performers.  Similar to many other psytrance festivals I have attended, Desiderata presented a true psytrance experience all weekend long under the open sky. DJ Depth-The Desi Influence

DJ Depth, also known as Dave Jozefczyk, originally from Utica, NY, currently residing in Arvada, CO, has felt a deep passion for music since his early years of playing tenor sax for his high school jazz ensemble.  During his college years in Long Island, he was introduced to the NYC underground movement in 1994.  The years following influenced him by a wide array of pioneering artists spanning many genres including all shades of House, Techno, Trance, Drum & Bass, and Psytrance.  In 1996, he was humbled with a pair of Technic 1200’s, which resulted in the creation of DJ Depth.  While flourishing as a DJ, he co-founded the memorable EclecTech Productions in 1998 and FUZE in 2005, as well as collaborated with both Xtra and VinylBeat Productions.  All resulted in several years of experience with successful party production and promotion, as well as taking his DJ performances to places in the U.S. such as Colorado, South and North Carolina, Virginia, and the majority of cities in New York; Manhatten, Brooklyn, Albany, Utica, Syracuse, Binghamton, Ithaca & Rochester.  He was also fortunate enough to land a European gig in southern Poland, where the majority of his family resides.

After 9 years of DJ-ing, a new chapter unfolded for Depth as he progressed into live PA performance using Ableton Live.  For the past 4 years now, his meticulous work with Ableton Live has made him a highly respected & desired performer, resulting in many higher caliber bookings at events such as The Final WEMF 2008, Desiderata, Hardtimes Valentines and There’s Always Room for J.E.L.O., as well as maintaining and managing consistent residencies.

Currently, Depth is in his studio working on the production side of Ableton.  Bringing together all of his accomplishments, from playing the sax, his Architectural profession, 13 years of DJ performance, and the discipline, love and spirituality from his Yoga practice, Depth’s production is certain to take him to the next level as Producer.  Guaranteed to put forth 100% into everything he does, Depth is an up and coming Performer/Producer of the future.
