Barcelona has a history of producing and cultivating techno talent, however, in this instance, Paula Cazenave has been a mainstay in its scene since moving in 2003. From studying audiovisual production and sound technology, to having played gigs around the world alongside the likes of Ben Klock, Freddy K, Truncate and Nina Kraviz, she is without question an influential figure. Running the excellent Combine Audio label allows her to show qualities needed for selecting superb club music, while also releasing on other labels such as Ben Sims' Symbolism, Marco Faraone's UNCAGE and Berlin's Rave the Planet, which is linked to the legendary Love Parade. This exclusive mix has raw energy, jackin' rhythms, slick mixing skills and of course, a prime insight to an underground tastemaker's renowned expertise. After discovering, and meeting Tibe through us randomly walking into the (now non-existant) record store “Mary Go Wild” in Amsterdam. He showed us one of his last remaining vinyl copy’s of a EP “MXMN001” he had previously released under his own label Maximalist_Minimalist. 

SAMA’s goal is to create a piece of art with every release. To let the music and the visual art create something that really grabs the attention. And since Amsterdam’s scene still seems to be so small, yet interconnected. Talent somehow, in one way or another.. Always manages to rise to surface, and will inevitably be discovered by someone, somehow.

Take a listen to this freshly released mix from our INVITED SERIES. Our aim is to give spotlight to certain artists we admire, or those wo inspire us to give them complete creative freedom, plus the room for them to showcase their beloved sounds on our platform.
