The first love is about the many first things in life. 
First time you hear a language that you don’t understand but yet feel like you understand it. The first time you fall in love and everything is a new journey. The first time you understand something and wanna use that knowledge. 
That love is what this mixtape is about. My first encounter and love with Brazilian music. The first time I heard the groovy groove of Tim Maia, the first time I heard the soulful voice of Cassiano and the first time I heard the guitarbeat of Jorge Ben.

Brazil Mix 1 - the first love (strictly vinyl)

Ligesom som potte-lotte, velour og rødvin og forelskelse og beruselse og kærlighed og planter er dette mixtape noget organisk, euforisk og i herlighed og transcenderende tilstand indspundet i en følelse af at blive draget ind i lyden og høre musikken for dets lyd, dets særlige lydtekstur, som at mærke og føle lydens overflade. Ofte er det for mig den organiske lyd, der kan frembringe disse følelser. En hånd på en række guitarstrenge, en kølle mod et rosentræ eller en håndflade mod et stramt opbundet skind, idet opstår en følelse af nærvær og instinktivt drages jeg ind i et univers. Et univers af instrumentale teksturer, der føles flydende, rå og til tider nøgne. Alle numre i dette mixtape skaber denne følelse for mig.
