Paris-based DJ & producer AIROD aka Dario Brkic returns to Amelie Lens’ Lenske for his second 12” on the Belgian label, ‘Rave Cycle’. Previous solo EPs on Molekul, on his Elixyr and the acclaimed ‘Voltage’ EP on Lenske earlier this year have brought him to play at some of the most emblematic clubs of the international circuit and become part of the Exhale showcases. Following a new round of bombastic releases by the Lenske crew: Farrago, Milo Spykers and Lens herself, it’s now the turn for the Elixyr Records boss to bring the heat. 

As expected from AIROD, this new record sounds like it could have been released in 1994. He uses references from rave, acid and gabber together with his fresh approach, the result are 4 club-ready cuts to hit massive sound systems. This track comes to us as part of Otto Tito's latest release on COUP, this marks the 13th release on the label and features four original tracks from otto and the remix  of 'Escape artist' which we're premiering. 

Consisting of repetitive piercing synths into hard-hitting techno kicks, nostalgic feelings into futuristic ambience, and so on, Otto Tito delivers four tracks of emotional bangers. For the closing track of the EP, Fractions interprets Escape Artist with gated pads and trance-influenced, fast-paced touches.

Due for release on June 8, 2020, the EP which has been mastered by Havantepe and is club ready,  will be available digitally, and can be preordered now.

DLV is the driving force behind Acid Techno Techno Club and now self-releases three of his powerful dance floor weapons.  

Acid Techno Techno Club is an organization run by DLV that meets to discuss, show, and promote acid techno in a local community setting and it has given the Austrian artist and party promoter a cult following both locally and internationally. His hard hitting, no frills and direct sound is pure fire on the dance floor and can be heard on his remixes for KAS:ST and Hadone, in addition to his pounding sets at his parties. 

'Rave instructor' has lasers fired out of a gun shooting across a flat footed kick drum that prowls you forwards. Vocal stabs add fuel to the fire and eventually a frazzled synth breaks free to get hands in the air. The excellent ‘Space Machine' is another futurist techno banger, with twisted acid lines weaving in and out of the hammering drums while bright synth patterns light up the skies. Last but not least, 'Transmission' brings darker energies with its stomping kicks, industrial textures and old school breakbeat flourishes all making for a hugely physical and immediate impact.  

DLV ‘Rave Instructor’ is out on 24th July 2020.

It was the dark black honest sounds of Techno as we hadn't heard it before. it was hel.IV. After his debut EP 'The Dagger & The Thought'. It took over the internet & blew up. It had immediate respect & has been getting hammered all around the globe. We finally have him back to some damage again. His new 'The Palm On The Altar' EP displays a more fine tuned hel.IV while still attacking the throats. It's dark. It's imposing, and it's serious business. Masked Techno assassin Buried Secrets returns for his 2nd EP with Soma with the ‘Of Lost Things EP’. Rave infused, hard hitting, face pounding Techno is standard from Buried Secrets and this latest release is nothing less than that. The EP feature two stellar remixes from two of techno’s most exciting acts in Obscure Shape & SHDW and Inhalt Der Nacht. Both of whom stamp their own unique style on the originals. 

Title track Of Lost Things opens the A side in true Buried Secrets style as euphoric synths are balanced perfectly against driving, punishing kicks and sub. Obscure Shape & SHDW turn their production prowess to Of Lost Things with a straightforward and direct Tool Mix of the original.  Harnessing the power of the synth hook and warping it to their will. On the flip, Affliction Of The Absent renders more high octane Techno. More minimalistic throughout, the industrial vibes are still prominent with subtlety being the key. Inhalt Der Nacht turns in a more cinematic driven affair with his remix of Affliction Of The Absent. A slow burner that utilises epic sound design showing 432ha fantastic and generally unheard, side to his productions.

Amelie Lens’ EXHALE imprint launches with a myriad of uncompromising techno tracks from the underground’s finest established and aspiring artists. 

EXHALE’s much anticipated first release continues the legacy of the EXHALE event series with a fifteen original track compilation featuring old and new friends from each avenue of the underground. With a shared love of rave culture, the label is a platform for the forward-thinking while simultaneously paying homage to foundations of techno. With this in mind, Amelie gathers familiar faces and upcoming artists to deliver the future sounds of techno. 

Spanning to each dark corner of the technosphere, the compilation fosters a range of sound that exhibits each artist’s production taste and background. @amelielens & EXHALE events mainstay @airodmusic open proceedings with the ascending ‘Adrenaline’, featuring acid lines and hypnotic vocals, with Spanish techno veteran @regalmusic driving on with authoritative speed and neurotic alarms in ‘Spreading the Cult’. Following his debut on LENSKE, Amelie welcomes @ahl-iver to bring an acid flavour to this compilation along with French talent @feliciemusic, who builds tension early on with raucous track ‘The Devil Himself’. @utobscure0010 & @shdw-music follow with ‘Brennende Erde’, inducing a state of trance with whirring atmospherics. 

Next up is notable Berlin based producer @klangkuenstler with ‘Engelsblut’, an oscillation of stabbing keys, sinister drones and unrelenting hi-hats before transitioning into ‘Take Two’ from @remy-x, whom Amelie discovered after his stand-out EP on Coincidence Records last year. DJ/Producer at the forefront of French techno @antigone proceeds with ‘U Tell Me’, along with @brecc who incorporates industrial elements and thundering bass with track ‘Vox’, continuing with Antwerp producer @lukasfirtzer’s ‘Excessus’, packed with shifting percussions and tenacious melodies. 

Purveyor of modular techno @mrdmrdmrd combines layered atmospherics and euphoric pads in ‘Reach my hand’, followed by Mehen (aka @hadonesector) who maintains pace with his rendering ‘Broken Whisper’, with a disorentiating and melody driven expedition from @francoisx next to switch up momentum. Promising upcoming Dutch producer @gracedahl ensues with the merciless ‘Vermilion Empire’, while production virtuoso @dyenmusic nods to EXHALE’s roots in rave culture with ‘Fantasy’, a medley of spiked vocals and ethereal synths that maintain the energy until the final kick.
