Barcelona based DJ/producer Bastian Bux has been firing out exemplary releases for labels like Sven Vath’s Cocoon Recordings, Bedrock, MOOD, Suara, Tronic, and a whole host more over the last five years, and on the ‘Outliers’ EP, he cues up a trio of techno heaters for Eats Everything & Andres Campo’s EI8HT imprint.

‘Algon’ is a finely tuned slab of mechanical tech-funk, as vivacious bleepy melodies, floating horns and snappy claps rest over a steadfast beat, whilst ‘Like That’ utilises a choppy vocal sample with loopy synth riffs and clever drops.  Bringing up the rear, ‘Ocho’ teams up wigged out distorted acid bass and resolute modular tones for a raw, deep down and dirty techno jam!

Heading straight for the fast lane is Josh Gigante with „Attention Seeker“. A hypnotic one-note bassline with ritualistic vocals takes you onto a night ride on the highway, until the overdrive kicks in and a sudden chainsaw-sounding lead is giving off sparks.

„Tanzwerk“ by Jepe takes you to a sinister sounding technocratic utopia, where suddenly all the sounds of machine processes align and form a dance floor symphony.

Next on the 21st Four To The Floor is „Folk“ by AIKON, an upbeat affair with slight hints of 80s, New Wave and Acid.

And closing off is „Music is the way“ by Spada feat. Klara Sestiniova, a dreamy end-of-night soundtrack that will definitely provide for a hands-up and eyes-closed moments.

Navigating us through these topsy turvy times, Joris Voorn whisks us back to a 92 state of mind with this powerful update of a stone cold Dutch techno classic.

Originally produced by The Tellurians (AKA Robert Smit, Ferry Corsten, John Matze and Rene de Ruyter) the original 'Navigator' was a humungous hit across Europe and helped to define the exciting European sound that was emerging in house and techno at the time. Now, 29 years later, the Spectrum boss closes the loop with sincerity, clarity and some seriously heavy bass.

Lowering the tempo, fattening the groove, bringing that demonic one-word vocal to life and adding weaves and weaves of little production details, 'Navigator' has been modernised with subtlety and dark nocturnal soul. Already a key track in Joris' 'Global Underground 43' mix album last year, this marks a whole new lease of life for a track that's older than many of us DJs and ravers alike. Released as the entire scene enjoys a whole new lease of post lockdown life.
