‘T2’ marks the return of Toolroom’s collaboration concept album. 

‘T1’, released back in October 2015, was an album of new and exciting collabs from Toolroom’s roster at the time; celebrating our artists’ talents and challenging them creatively.  

At the height of lockdown in 2020, with our artists in isolation across the world, it felt like a good opportunity to bring back the series - and also help raise money for Covid-19 relief funds, with a percentage of profits going to charity. 

This time, we picked the collaborations totally at random. Drawn out of a hat by Mark Knight on a Facebook Live broadcast, 36 artists were paired up into 18 new studio partnerships.  Pairings like Amine Edge & DANCE and Maxinne; Alex Preston and Siege; Mat.Joe and Ben Remember; and Juliet Sikora and KC Lights, have resulted in the fusion of different styles, influences and ultimately an album of fresh and essential exclusive tracks. 

‘T2’ features 18 brand new tracks, with some out-of-the-box experiments and sure-fire bangers. Testament to the power of creation in isolation, and the unexpected magic of new collaborating artists at the top of their game.

Morixo and Chaney lock horns for the very first time and the result is simply HUGE! 

We’re buzzing to be giving ‘Good For Me’ a home at Toolroom. 

Chaney is an exciting new artist who is a firm Radio One favourite receiving regular Annie Mac and Danny Howard support. Off the back of his ‘Find Your Love’ single, Annie Mac invited him to do a mini-mix for her Friday night show last year, a prestigious invite if ever there was one! 

Morixo, aka Tim Powell, until very recently has very much been ‘behind the scenes’ having had a hand in high profile careers such as MK, Solardo, Eli Brown and Adelphi Music Factory. Tim AKA Morixo, is now writing his own records and with some impressive results. His ‘Take Me Back’ single on Warners is fast approaching 3 millions on Spotify and ‘Nothing Feels As Good’ was a Mistajam favourite over the Summer being awarded his ‘Self-Certified Anthem’ status on his Radio One Show. 
 
As we get ready to round off 2020, these two have delivered a total feel-good piano House number, and to top off an already stellar collaboration... they drafted in the one and only Hayley May on vocals! This is seriously an impressive debut from these 2 exciting, talented producers.

Alaia & Gallo, Michelle Weeks - I'm Going Up 

Alaia & Gallo are celebrating their return to Milk & Sugar Recordings with 'I'm Going Up' featuring Michelle Weeks on the vocals.

  Following on from their collaborative release with Angelo Ferreri on the label just recently, Alaia & Gallo are making their full return to Milk & Sugar Recordings with their new club banger 'I'm Going Up' featuring one of house music's greatest voices of all times: no other than gospel diva Michelle Weeks provides the vocals on this impressive offering on which a heavy driving bassline and shuffling hats combine perfectly with Michelle's passionate soulful voice.
