Watching Ultra 2025 took me back to my last visit, many moons ago, in 2003. During my time in Miami, I was fortunate enough to play at The Beach Nightclub and Nikki Beach, and I remember the energy there being palpable—people were climbing the walls!

Once I reached this mindset, I felt the urge to press record and let it all out... Let's take a journey back through the 2000s, complete with a South Beach twist!

This mix has a lengthy backstory because I stayed in Miami for two weeks instead of just two days.

If you listen closely, this mix should explain precisely why. The clues are in the synths and basslines....

A few years ago me and DarciiDarka won a mixtape contest and got to play for Lucid dnb in Austin TX. It was awesome! We met a lot of  killer DJ's that night. When I met this weeks guest, I remember thinking she was super polite and very friendly. I had no idea she was also on the lineup. Then she went on and Rinsed the place. It was bananas. Hi all! Here is my live daytime recording from the Shoogie Boogie camp at unSCruz 2025. I guess I decided to go full old-school funky house which basically meant a lot of DJ Dan tracks from the earlier 2000s with a few newer ones sprinkled in. Shout out to Kue for his super funky tracks "Grimes" (which samples Grimes when she F'd up at Coachella, hilarous) and his remix of Keak Da Sneak's "Super Hyphy" which has an irresistibly booty-shaking bassline. RIP to Rescue, I definitely played a lot of his music and am bummed to miss out on all the future bangin' tracks he would have made. Also shout out to the homie Adamant who is a fantastic producer but very modest about it!

Huge thanks to the Shoogie Boogie crew, y'all are super amazing & awesome and I'm glad our paths have recently crossed. I had a blast playing at your camp.
