The Second Hand Audio Mixtape

A prestigious entertainer and party maker extraordinaire, Dons' energy and enthusiasm behind the turntables is truly inspiring. His style and musical flair is all about House music, Deep, Groovy, Funky, Rhythmic, Pumping, with Dashing’s of Disco, and the true signature sound of “Boompity Boomp” to get your ass shaking, body moving and dancing the night away. 

Don’s musical roots were grounded early in the underbelly of his home town, Durban South Africa in the early 90's.

After moving to London UK in 2000, Don became a firm fixture on the house clubbing circuit, playing regularly for brands such as The Gallery @ Ministry of Sound, Supported Roger Sanchez on his release yourself tour as well as numerous underground warehouse parties and sought-after club gigs. 

In 2004, together with long-time friends and DJ partners, Don formed DirtyFunkySexy (DFS), a new angle on London house music parties, which quickly became an international premium clubbing brand, hosting events at Ministry of Sound, Pacha, Koko, Heaven, Turnmills and more, also touring regularly throughout Europe playing multiple seasons in the worlds clubbing mecca Ibiza, supporting Carl Cox at Space, Judge Jules at Es Paradise, Bar Kanya and Manumissions Bar M to name a few. 

Dons’ other international accolades include being invited to perform with the legendary “Gypsy Kings” for an exclusive event in Geneva, fundraising work with major charities such as the Princes Trust in London, Resident DJ and Host in Pamplona, Spain for the start of the Annual running of the bull’s festival and playing at Thailand’s Full Moon parties. 

Now settled in his new home in Perth, WA, Don still very much loves his house music and playing his signature party grooves for the masses. You can catch him streaming online with The Pirates of Perth Radio as well as playing regularly with Red Ginger Music at the Boat and Island Bar.
