From the Portuguese archipelago of Madeira, in the north Atlantic Ocean, Madeira resident, Fábio Pereira has been at the forefront of the deep and progressive house scene with his Li-Polymer production moniker and a sumptuous blend of rhythmic prowess and melodic mastery. Now, returning to the label, Particles is delighted to announce the release of the twin-track "Crystal Serenity" EP.

An artist with an acute understanding of the underground dance scene, the Li-Polymer name has seen more than a triple century of production credits grace the industry's finest catalogues. With a unique and compelling sound and a plethora of original material, Pereira's innate ability to imbue his production work with a distinctive ethereal, dream-like quality, has made him a force to be reckoned with in the dance arena. Inspired by the likes of Deep Dish, John Digweed and Sasse, the Li-Polymer production portfolio has grown steadily since 2009's debut for Future Lovers. Indeed, Balkan Connection, Lowbit and Sudbeat have all played host to the Madeira native with the latter seeing the release of the impressive "Psychic" EP in mid-2016. As part of the Movement management agency, Li-Polymer also continues to supply spellbinding performances behind the decks both across his island home and beyond in Greece, Russia and the Netherlands ADE.

A regular on Particles since a debut remix of Matt Rowan in 2014, "Silence Between Us", as part of the "Summer Particles 2015" compilation, sparked remixes from Matan Caspi and Sapiens & Springa before June 2016 saw "Announce" and "Saccharum" as part of the "Spring 2016" edition. Thus, it is with great pleasure that we welcome Pereira back to the label with his debut original EP for the label in the shape of "Crystal Serenity".

The title track is redolent in the trademark Li-Polymer sound. A muted arpeggio opens "Crystal Serenity", swimming across the stereo spectrum in enticing fashion. Luscious pads wash with white-noise waves and soft, mesmerising hi-hat patterns supply hypnotic fascination. Building subtly post-breakdown, the addition of a new melodic sequence adds further depth to a track that shimmers with sonic beauty.

"Collateral View" continues the aural beauty as an intricate percussive groove lays the foundation for bass and melody to entwine symbiotically. A delicious bass groove teases its way to the fore in increasing momentum while a glistening freeform melodic sequence provides interest and intrigue. Pausing, in a stripped back breakdown full of suspense, the dynamic rhythm section once again finds its way to the fore in the third movement that builds through spine-tingling chord progressions and textured pads.

Making his magic felt once more, Li-Polymer's majestic path through the underground dance scene is filled with "Crystal Serenity".

He has EVERY trait needed for a DJ. I mean - an impressive DJ” – claims UK producer Clive Henry (PEACE DIVISION), along whose side Donatello played in club EXIT (Kaunas, Lithuania). Donatello was hand picked to represent the best so far promoters’ agency in Lithuania - ATARI. And ATARI guys don’t joke around: the founder of the agency – best Lithuanian DJ, bearing international recognition Ignas i.v. was lately spotted performing with Nick Warren in Hamburg and playing with The Prodigy in Vilnius. During the past overcrowded months on clubbers’ agendas Donatello became an unofficial resident of the ATARI ORIGINAL nights in club Galaxy, Vilnius. One of the biggest Lithuanian venues was absolutely packed with over 1500 clubbers/ enthusiasts each and every time gagging for more from Satoshi Tomiie (Japan), G Pal & Anna Maria (Greece), Scott Bradford (LEXICON AVENUE,UK), Anthony Pappa (UK), Matthew Roberts (KING UNIQUE, UK) and others.. Donatello never gets an easy get away from the audience; hence he’s been very busy playing in Kaunas club EXIT (awarded as the best club of Lithuania twice).
