Jackies Music House Session #234 - "Piem"

Piem:
Alvaro Palau, known as PIEM, is a prominent DJ and producer in Barcelona's house music scene. With over 20 years of experience, starting in 2000, he has built a solid career shaped by his influences from house music in Ibiza, the U.S., and the U.K. PIEM is a key figure in Barcelona's nightlife, and his residency at Jackies events has made him a local favourite. Additionally, as the Music Curator for W Barcelona, he sets the musical vibe for one of the city's most important venues.
Throughout his career, he has released music on renowned labels like DFTD, Ministry of Sound, and Crosstown Rebels. His talent has earned support from major names such as Danny Howard and Pete Tong on BBC Radio 1, giving him widespread international recognition.
PIEM has also shared the stage with artists like Black Coffee, Louie Vega, Seth Troxler, Hot Since 82, Folamour, Moodymann, and Honey Dijon, solidifying his reputation in the global DJ scene.
He has brought his music to major festivals like Sonar, Mad Cool, and Electric Love, energizing large crowds with his dynamic sets.
As for upcoming releases, PIEM is working on exciting projects with labels like Knee Deep In Sound, Moxy, Jackies, Toolroom, and Ministry of Sound, continuing to stay at the forefront of the scene. With his passion for house music and unique style, PIEM keeps making his mark both in Barcelona and internationally.

Damián Hernán A.K.A. ON THE REG (formerly DJ Hyperdam) is a DJ, producer, and event organizer with over 15 years in the underground scene. His eclectic sound fuses Chicago House, Deep, Funk, Disco, Italian Dream House, Balearic, and Detroit-influenced House and Techno.
Founder of OTR in 2017, he has curated events like Magic Journey, featuring renowned national and international DJs such as Jeff The Fool (France). His OTR Podcast Series on SoundCloud has featured over 175 mixes from artists including Todd Terry, Mark Farina, Phil Weeks, Kapote, Ruff Stuff, Souldynamic, Maslow Unknown, and Afshin & Adri (Djoon Club Paris).
As a producer, ON THE REG has released music on Mole Records, Boite Records, Groovy Riddim, and most recently on White Deer Records (Mexico).
He has performed at major festivals like Lollapalooza and at top venues including Niceto Club, Crobar, Bahrein, Under Club, El Muelle, The Shamrock, and his monthly residency at Avant-Garten. He has also played in Córdoba, Mar del Plata, and shared lineups with international acts and influential collectives such as GOP TUN (Brazil).
His global reach is reflected in ongoing collaborations and guest mixes for platforms in Mexico, Canada, the UK, Russia, Brazil, the U.S., and Angola.

He is a Toulouse-born producer and DJ now based in Paris. With a unique style, he crafts hypnotic yet groovy sounds, blending deep atmospheres with powerful rhythms built for the dancefloor.
Member of the Paris-based collective Deepsea Grooves, R1D1 is also a passionate DJ who loves to surprise his audience, taking them on unexpected sonic journeys. A true sound explorer, his eclectic taste—rooted in Deep House, Garage, Minimal, and broader electronic influences—always leaves a mark.
He has released music on labels like Jackies Music (alongside producer and DJ Baccus), Whoyostro White, Mole Music, Lisztomania, Cluster Traxx, Pétrole Records, and many more.
