Paul Hierophant – Hierophant Records

Born in London Paul started out in the late 80’s as a club DJ, then
record shop manager, then producer.

Since those early DJ gigs, Paul’s underlying motivation has and
always will be the music; ambient, hip hop, breakbeat, soul, funk,
dub, boogie, electro and Detroit techno: urban music with deep
roots, social conscience and soul.

His live sets fuse modular synthesis, analog drum machines,
effects pedals and bass; dub techno meets electro meets ambient
meets Hierophant.

Paul’s “State of Play” radio show, is currently on Cratedigs.com
every Saturday night 8-10pm.

Hola familia, nueva entrega de nuestro podcast y con We Love Dolce Vita (WLDV) como invitado.
Imaginad un cóctel donde metes música electrónica de los 70 y 80, donde los sintetizadores tenían un protagonismo mayúsculo y sonaban de esa forma tan particular, añades horas visionando cine serie B, sci-fi y de terror, y terminas regando con una buena dosis de sonidos Industriales primigenios, el resultado no es otro que We Love Dolce Vita (WLDV).
WLDV es capaz de combinar todo lo descrito y transformarlo en arte sonoro, y esto no es una opinión, es un hecho. Buena cuenta de ello son los trabajos que ha publicado en sellos como Giallo Disco, Bordello A Parigi, Waste Editions, Eclectic Reactions, Violette Szabo, Soil Records o Cold Beats.
Como no podía ser de otro modo, los sets de WLDV son puro eclecticismo, Italo Disco, Space Disco, , Synth Pop, New Wave, New Beat, EBM, Techno, Electro, Acid, House o el más puro Industrial tienen cabida, creando una amalgama sónica con la que es difícil no bailar. El público de salas o festivales como Bilbao BBK Live, Bakio Sound, Casa Jäger Bilbao, Low Festival, Dantz Festival o Tagomago (por nombrar unos pocos), ya lo saben. Su formato Live ha traspasado varias fronteras llegando a países con USA, Candá, Austria, Holanda o Lituania.
No solo esto, WLDV pilota el sello Eclectic Reactions, donde da rienda suelta a sus variadas inquietudes musicales y cuenta con un catálogo de lo más rico. También es el promotor de la deliciosa fiesta Vocoder, un regalo a su Bilbao natal con una programación de altos vuelos.

RHYTHM ØF THE SØUL

I was born in 74 in Valencia (Spain).
My musical journey begins in the year 87 when through the radio I start to discover the wonderful musical decade of the 80's and the beginning of electronic music giving way to one of the essential sounds of today such as New beat, Acid house, Ebm, Electro. 
The end of the 80's and the beginning of electronic music were an influence for me.

Luis ‘El capitan america’ resident DJ of one of the most emblematic clubs of the city where the youngest people went to enjoy the music (Woody Disco) also contributed a lot to my evolution. 

My professional beginnings started in 1993 working in the record shop Alliance Records located in a central neighbourhood of the city of Valencia. Through the shop I started my first gigs on behalf of the shop playing in big clubs like Industrial in Granada and the mythical discotheque ACTV in Valencia, Tropico (San Antonio).
I have collaborated with several Valencian collectives promoting events offering a more electronic and different side.

at the beginning of 2000 I started to have my first residencies in Sala Roma (Puzol) through the Shushi collective (a clothing company).

I had my residency in other venues in my city where once a week I used to have my space. 

Pub TERRA, it was there where I met Jesus CTG member and founder of the collective Minimalistik girl and where we started to collaborate together and became part of his collective.

Through the collective I had a more professional opportunity to train where I have been able to perform in several festivals organized by the collective itself and performing in various venues in my city as they were.

Also in the middle of the 2000s I started to be part of the Valencian collective Hypnotica Colectiva (HC) founded by David Verguer and Jorge Moreno.
Performing for them in their anniversaries and standard festivals such as Revelation (techno alliance) - and Happy Mondays, a session in Valencian gulf time par excellence, the nights from Sunday to Monday, remembering how mythical and important were those Sunday night sessions in Valencia in the 90s. 
Through these collectives and other agencies I have had the opportunity to perform in big venues such as Chocolate, Barraca, Jungle (NOD), Puzzle, sharing the bill with artists such as 
Ellen Allien, Sascha Funke, Pacou, Dave Tarrida, Miki Craven, Claude Vonstroke, Monoblock, John Digweed, Aubrey, Yin elek, Sound Synthesis.

And national artists like:
