Track of the Day: Krafty Kuts ft. Dynamite MC “Impact” [Free Download]

One of the great voices of the UK's hip hop scene, Seanie T is somewhat of a legend in music circles. An original reggae soundboy turned hip hop head, Seanie was there at the start, finding huge success with his Dark Horizons mixtapes and Blacknificent Seven albums featuring the cream of UK rap, such as Estelle, Roots Manuva, Blak Twang and Rodney P as well as his breakthrough hit "S.O.S. (Same Old Sean)". As an elder statesman of the scene, he's seen a lot come and go. In recent years he's been an integral part of the Dub Pistols relentless live show as well as recording tracks alongside Beenie Man, Cutty Ranks, Chezideck and Neville Staples.

Partnering with his old sparing partner and arguably one of the UK's biggest hip hop export, the legendary Roots Manuva, "Warning" is a new statement of intent as Seanie readies himself to release a brand solo new album. A low slung bassbin wobbler of a beat (produced by German producer Suro) is the perfect backing as the 2 veterans trade bars and send out a warning to soundboys everywhere. Remixes come from fellow UK legends The Nextmen who detonate a heavy dancehall inspired refix and Suro who turns up the tempo and flips an Afrobeats meets UK Funky inspired take.

Jungle Strikes strike again! Jimi Needles is at the wheel and, like his namesake in Back To The Future, he's revving up the sample engine and calling us all massive chickens if we don't join him. With sounds as funky as these we'd be mad not to. "Stay" takes a big dollop of Al Green and Lord Tariq and Peter Gunz and brings them together with dusty soul mischief while "Jamrockin'" takes Tom Brown and Brigadier Jerry and splices their DNA to make D&B. Uptown funking fatness on a donut dunking scale, ever-sharp Jimi lays down another sweet session for Jungle Strikes. "No Roller" flexes a big string sample that's reminiscent of High Society era High Contrast and really opens out to its soul source on the breakdown. Total feel good vibes. "How We Chill" has a more mischievous take on soul as it works a chill bar from 93 over a sprightly neon synth funk groove and occasional amen splashes. To infinity and beyond.

IVIBES010: Krafty Kuts Ft Stellar MC - Children Of The Night - Radio Edit- Instant Vibes - OUT NOW

DJ and Producer Dubra has been shaking dancefloors and causing bass-induced mayhem since 2006. What started as a passion for beats soon turned into an obsession, leading him to craft a unique sound that blends Drum & Bass, Hip-Hop, and pure groove.

As 1/3 of the collective "KRATA" since 2022, Dubra and his crew have been making sure Latvia stays well-fed on Drum & Bass-infused Hip-Hop. Their work even landed them a Zelta Mikrofons nomination for the album Krata—proof that basslines and bars can go hand in hand.

But let’s rewind a bit: in 2016, Dubra joined forces with Arteo and got signed to Disco Cakes and Bomb Strikes, getting love from Featurecast, Stickybuds, Krafty Kuts, and other groove merchants.

2020 brought a Drum and Bass explosion with his EP Light on Westwood Recordings, plus the Krafty Kuts collab Step To This on Bomb Strikes. Then in 2021, they went full circle by remixing none other than hip-hop icon Chali 2na from Jurassic 5.

Fast forward to 2024, and Dubra dropped another banging EP, Stay—because he just won’t leave the scene alone.

And in 2025, the industry took notice (again), nominating him for the GAMMA Music Awards. Turns out, making bangers does get you places.

When he's not tearing up clubs, Dubra is shaping the next generation of DJs as co-founder and teacher at “Rīgas DJ skola”, because someone has to make sure the future sounds good.
