Dj Duress was thrust into the dance music in early 2001 after seeing the live performance of fat boy slim back at the big day out, his love for the turntable has proven to be as strong as his love of music, this combination has shot him into the scene. After a short stint at the united dj mixing school being taught the skills by the likes of Paul Holden, kc, bonez and skizo. Duress followed the Rave/Trance circuit for 7 years as an up and coming Dj, then moved on to his beloved and preferred sound of Tech House/progressive tech.
In his 15 years and counting of mixing and being a party enthusiast, he took notes in the dark of nightclubs watching how the top dj’s played their sets. From this he took in a lot of different styles and blended his own version of interaction and sound. His influences come from a wide range of music including; Blues, Jazz, House, Hip Hop, RNB, Trance, Progressive and Techno.
Now producing and really developing his sound.
There is not much to stop dj duress making a mark in the dance music industry. Listening to his sets and mix cd’s you will no doubt succumb to the energy and influence that fires the young man to do what he loves and that is to inspire and continuously push the boundaries.
