Palms Trax joins LA Priest in remixing Erol Alkan's 'Automatic', the 100th Release on Phantasy Sound.

The landmark hundredth single on Phantasy, Erol Alkan’s ‘Automatic’ returns accompanied with two remixes that further take the London DJ and producer’s psychedelic club vision in distinct directions. The original 12" pressing, limited to 100 and hand-numbered, sold out in less than an hour.

Palms Trax builds on the sensual reverie of Alkan’s production with an electrifying rework full of touches both French and personal. Throwing out a gloriously chic bassline, the Berlin-based producer sprinkles carefully considered sweeps, stabs and filters on a trip to timeless house euphoria.

It's been 4 years since I put out new music. Over lockdown I retreated fully, burnt out in many ways. It also coincided with a studio move and overhaul of my studio process. As I started to make music again, I instead focussed on the simple joy of creating with with zero thought about sharing it publicly. I have never enjoyed making music like I do now and I think it shines through in these tracks. This EP represents a new chapter for me and I am excited to share the rest of it as well as a bunch more music over the next 12 months.

Eris Drew - Hold Me (T4T Embrace Mix) (STW Premiere)

Slow and smooth build up with an intense but mellow peak that just goes on and on. It fills you with empathy and intense sensation heightening. SWIM smoked a joint halfway through and melted into the couch. It’s perfect for a rolling party with a group of friends, though SWIM imagines it would be great for a proper party too. Sometimes SWIM felt like dancing, but spent most of the time staring into space. This is really nice, intense, smooth and mellow. Get ahold of these if you get the chance!

“When 2 Bodies Become 1” treads a fine line between raucous deep-house, balearic blues and straight-up sexy music. The opener “Raw Loop” channels classic Pepe Braddock vibes while “Moving Day” sounds like it could’ve come from the sonic experiments of a certain 90s house producer who loves to play keyboards. Lukas is a musician and singer first, which really shows on the flip side of the record – something which Mano Le Tough & Jimpster were very happy to support on a recent release for Clouded House.“Strange Beast” marries off-kilter chorus-kissed guitar riffs with a driving four-to-the floor arrangement while “2 Bodies Become 1” takes a step further away from house music to combine vintage new-order textures and shuffling deep-house. Lukas also builds digital synthesizers in his spare time, something which must’ve come in handy for “Bike Ride With U” an italo-banger closing out the record and sporting a very rubbery bassline. When Catz 'n Dogz established their own label in 2010 their sole mission was to ensure it never became 'just another dance label'. A decade deep, their mission has been accomplished so far. With the label's remit as broad and innovative as the duo's productions and DJ sets, the focus has always been on soul, realness and human connections. From Eats Everything's debut single 'Entrance Song' to Rachel Row and husband KiNK's first single together 'Follow The Step' to the numerous 'Friends Will Carry You Home' collections, Pets has never lost sight of its purpose or raison d'etre. They've been as faithful as the family hound, as cool as the family cat and as curious as the family crocodile in their output, energy and creativity since day one.

The roots of the story were buried in the depths of time, ancient knowledge lost the the ages, the origin was unknown....

Yellow Island are set to release a new EP from Alt.Aire - a beautifully crafted showcase of some of the most elegant house music that we've heard in a while. The story behind the release is perhaps best told by the label and people behind the project itself..

"Origin is Alt.Aire's very first track: it came about whilst demoing parts of a live jam using a looping setup. Usually dads tell you to turn the volume down when you make loud music, but not Nick Woolfson (former Mock & Toof and Teng Records Records label boss), father of the brothers duo. Instead, after hearing the track, he suggested doing a remix with his project Metropolitan Soul Museum alongside Filippo Rocco. The MSM' remix turned out to be very complimentary to Origin, moving away from the original's soulful vibe and going more towards a dark 4/4 cut. Sometimes it's beautiful how music moves across generations.

Filippo, having heard both tracks, came up with the idea of pairing them with an MSM original that was already having interest shown in it by labels and suggested Alt.Aire remix that track. A Family Affair EP was born.

The two pairs got in touch with a few labels, one of which was Brazil's Yellow Island, a label that's quickly establishing its name in the international scene and as they were looking for something fresh for their new series they decided that the Family Affair EP had found a home on their label."

"Mustache Italo Disco Orgy"

Born in Crete, warped to London for 6 years and gave it up in 2006 for Athens. Can’t live without moustaches, vintage clothes, high heels and italo Disco!
Her crowd loyally follows her and comprises of fanatic extras from episodes of Dynasty, Joan Collins hairdressers, enchanted dancers permanently vogueing.
Boring bio: Picked up the phone one day called a local radio station and demanded to go on air, all at the tender age of 14. She was soon given her very own grrrrl rock show for two years along with her best friend. After a long break from broadcasting she next picked up her records while studying in London in 2000, at the student bar of her halls of residence. This gave her the chance to test different styles and genres and to learn how to beat match the hard way on some busted up turntables and cd decks.
Three years later the parties started! With a brief stint as resident dj at the underground DISCOnection after parties in London’s East End, other apearrances include, a guest appearance at Moon alongside Wandson Maxx and guerilla djing at the Redlight after party.
It’s now October 2006 in Athens and it seemed that by chance her path crosses that of the Amateur boyz. And so began a residency with the boyz at a russian disco in Athens from December 2006 till June 2007 and with an urban mobile party for the winter of 2007-08. Another residency emerged right after the last party of the first season in one of Athens largest mainstream clubs Motel with their D.I.R.T.Y. parties and since then various other locations, parties, events including Yes it Does!Sure it Does!, Earthdance festival Athens, kormoranos, Wrapped in Plastic and many more.
Mid 2010 she is joined by d:tek and Tareq, in forming a new dj team, Sally Spektra and accompanying “fashion” blog on Sallyspektra.com
After more than 14 years a return to radio production has finally come up with the creation of new Greek web radio station WaveRadio.gr and her show “Dancing Madly Backwards” which fuses italo disco, 80s pop, new wave and more “modern” sounds alongside guest dj sets.

Her newest project is called <a href="http://soundcloud.com/fascination_music">fascination!</a> with fellow dj/producer ELIOT!
