Hello folks, after a short break on Soundcloud and some fulminant Blank Wave parties with Perel, Shubostar and Lauer, we're back again with a highly anticipated double feature: Welcome Andi, the New York City-based DJ and producer, who is also founder of the dark synth and industrial party and label, Synthicide. She contributed this marvellous exclusive mix for our Blank Wave series and is also playing her debut in Frankfurt on our event on Saturday, June 16 2023, at ono2 accompanied by Shia LaBiff. 

Andi now holds her ninth-year residency at Brooklyn’s notorious venue Bossa Nova Civic Club. Her aesthetic combines her devotion to underground 1980s industrial, EBM, new beat, and sleazy synth whose dark beats create an exciting soundscape that is unarguably danceable. She has DJed all over the world and is known in niche music circuits for her ability to mix together older tracks with new ones to create a diverse and unique set. Additionally, Andi is part of the ItaloMatic crew, a resident at The Lot Radio, and a resident DJ at the dark 80s new wave night, Music For the Masses.

Her own productions aim to challenge the expectations within the confines of the masculine EBM genre, often focusing on the ideas of revenge and strength through a woman’s perspective. Andi released her first EP, Corpse to Corpus, on aufnahme + wiedergabe in 2020, the Torque Force split EP with Randolph & Mortimer on Mecanica Records in 2021 and recently the EP Compelling Evidence on a+w. Now available for pre-order via Mannequin Records is her Parafernales EP feat. Machino.

Djedjotronic Presents INTERSTATE 101

A collaborative compilation of unreleased tracks and older music from his extended musical family.

Interstate 101 is an important highway running through California and Mexico. It is sometimes called El Camino Real (The Royal Road) as its route follows closely the old route used by the Spanish missions. In some parts of California, it might be designated as « The Pacific Highway » or « The 101 ». Within the years, pieces of this road have been renamed and it has been truncated to be replaced by a more recent Interstate 5.

Like the Interstate 101, Electro is a music genre that connects different countries, different people. It has also been truncated, changed by technology and often renamed. Nevertheless, this Royal Road, that has been influencing the world of electronic music for more than 30 years, still remains as a way out following its path on the margins of a crowded and commercial junction.

This is what Jeremy Cottereau, aka Djedjotronic, wanted to illustrate in this compilation. Most of the tracks have been composed exclusively for the album, by some of the most renown names of the genre: The Hacker, Maeltrom, Glass Figure, Jensen Interceptor, Mikron, Defekt, SCNTST, Hoshina Anniversary, CWS, Noob, Voiron, Miss Kittin and himself. All the artists featured have come across his journey within the last years. They form, as he likes to say, his musical extended family.

Key player in the electronic world, Djedjotronic is a French producer that has gained recognition for his productions and his performances showcasing a nonlinear vision of electronic music. He is also known for his work as a remixer for UNKLE, Tiga, Boys Noize, Chilly Gonzales, Chromeo, Housemeister, Surkin, Birdy Nam Nam, M.A.N.D.Y, Miss Kittin and Depeche Mode. Since 2011, he has been living in Berlin, where he composed his last productions such as “Kaiko” EP on Boysnoize Records. But he has been maintaining strong ties with France and has signed in 2013 the maxi “Abyssal Zone” for the label Zone created by Gesaffelstein and The Hacker. Follow the electronic Interstate 101, a forgotten leviathan drifting through the ruins of sunken cities.

CHBB is Chrislo Haas (former DAF member) 
and Beate Bartel (founding member of 
Einstürzende Neubauten and of Mania D) 
in 1981 released a series of 4 C-10-tapes, 
each in an edition of 50 pieces only. 

They evolved into Liaisons Dangereuses 
in the same year of 1981 with Krishna Goineau 
who moved to Düsseldorf, where he met
 Chrislo and Beate, who already were 
recording together as CHBB. 
He became the singer of their joint project, 
recording in Conny Plank’s studio.

Charles Manier(founding member of himself)
was introduced to the world in 2002 from his 
1st “12” on Ghostly records and on a compilation 
for Ersatz Audio in the same year that for us 
turned our attention in his direction as the 
most important and significant hero who became 
the future face of inspiration of CHBB/Liaisons signature style of sound.

of everything the artists passionately created 
from their brilliant minds and hearts that’s 
4 1/2 hours long on this fantastic voyage 
from Traxx playing material from his personal 
collection of vinyl and exclusive content as a 
journey for those who are familiar and 
unfamiliar with these heroes and icons 
showing respect and appreciation of 
electronics by showcasing these significant 
and important layers from the timeline 
in the 80s til currently today.

In 2022, the Bravers held a sub-event at the Signal festival and launched their label.

This track pretty much incorporates a combination of music styles that I've acquired growing up starting off by adding samples of my first love, heavy metal and then transitioning on to electronic music. I remember watching the Christian Woman video as a kid and being totally creeped out by it but at the same time curious and infatuated with the sounds and the girl lol not having any idea that my passion would eventually be djing and creating muzzikk.&#13;

This is not your typical music you hear now a days which makes it that much more unique to me. &#13;

This version of Slowdance is so amazing that i had to make my rendition of it so that it can be playable at the club since the original doesn't have a kick, hats and so forth. I apologize for the distorted sound during the vocals as it's embedded in the sample and I did my best to get rid of.  I hope you enjoy it as much as i did working on it and hats off to Matthew Dear for such amazing creativity and uniqueness.
