In 1993, Naughty Nick kickstarted his DJing journey with a trusty pair of Sound Lab belt drives. Mastering the art of mixing on these decks was a thrilling adventure, marking the beginning of his musical odyssey.

Nick's musical style is a dynamic blend of all things house and UK garage, with a penchant for the darker underground vibes. This preference traces back to the early '90s scene at Niche, or Nimo's as it was fondly known. Tracks boasting big vocals and gritty bass were the essence of his sets, consistently igniting dance floors.

Looking ahead, Naughty Nick's future plans are refreshingly simple – to continue reveling in the music, just as he has for the past 30 years. With a hint of humor, he muses about the possibility of retirement once he's eligible for a pensioner's free bus pass – but don't count on it just yet!

When it comes to musical influences, Naughty Nick maintains an open-minded approach, finding inspiration in a diverse array of music styles. His ultimate litmus test for a true tune? When the hairs on his neck and arms stand up – that's when he knows it's a certified banger!

As for his favorite speed garage records, Naughty Nick finds it challenging to narrow it down, but classics like "Tailspin - All Massive," "God 4," or "Todd Terry - Something Going On" (Loop Da Loop Mix) hold a special place in his heart. The second part of the Anthems mixes cover the explosion in the Speed Garage scene from 2002-5 as a flood of new productions on labels such as Reflective, Jump, Ecko, Gridlocked, Nocturnal & Studiobeatz met the sounds of 4/4 UK Garage coming out of London.  All this music meant bigger events, more vinyl, coverage in music magazines and paved the way for Bassline going overground in 2006/7

But please remember I was only a kid and this is a STRICTLY VINYL mix which was done on a pair of cheap crappy BELT DRIVE turntables (Omnitronics I think they were called lol). At the time this mix was the dogs bollocks and got me my 1st ever residency at one of Wolverhamptons biggest and most respected night clubs at the time (Picasso's)...
