The more I delve into these Afro House rhythms the deeper my journey seems to go. I have to admit I'm kind of addicted to those African Drums, Congas and Cymbals. This set starts off with "Shango" a brand new smash from Waajeed straight from my hometown of Detroit. From there we head on over to Africa with gems from: Soulzak (Morocco) and the incredible; Black Motion (South Africa). More gems from Jimpster, King Britt and Ezel just to name a few. Between you and me, Erica’s got a huge crush on the intersection of future soul and future bass. When she’s not fully focused on playing Okayfuture & Soultronica sounds, her favorite is playing diverse tropical sets that often span all the way around the globe.

She’s a globe-trotting DJ, producer and music journalist transplant to LA via NYC. Beloved for her curation on stage and her tastemaker role in publications and radio airwaves, she operates in a world all her own she affectionately refers to as ERICALANDIA. She brings a forcefield with her when playing and is a master of moods & setting vibes. 

DJing, Ericalandia ping-pongs year round from coast to coast and loves adventuring to play in fav places like Tokyo, Paris and London. She’s warmed up the Beyhive for Beyonce, played alongside Aloe Blacc & Miguel and just got off mini-Asia tour with Grammy-nominated Soulection artist Starro. 

She loves the versatility in shifting gears to suit settings, be it a silent disco in the woods at SXSW The Guggenheim Museum, capsule release parties for Fenty/Rihanna or Coachella. Erica has been the DJ of choice for fashion lines like UK brand Top Shop, Converse, Fenty and Ivy Park. A fav gig? Playing for Reggie Watts bday at Ace Hotel DTLA. She’s also pretty tickled to be featured in New York Magazine, Martha Stewart & Forbes. But the love notes from James Blake and Francis and the Lights on her Soultronica mixes takes the cake.
