Greetings friends and welcome to the season finale of Mercury Landing.

Happy Valentine’s Day to you all. I hope that you’re spending your day in love. Whether it’s with a partner, family or just yourself.

As mentioned, this is our season finale. We’ve been going 2 years strong and require some time away to focus on family and loved ones. 

With that being said, todays episode is dedicated to all my ladies out there, killing it in their own right. 

On this Ladies choice - Galentine’s Day special, we’re featuring sounds by @lindsey_duz_it from California, @itsbangababy based out of NY and @ohmyviva reppin all the way from The Netherlands.

The story goes, this year I left Burningman to fly to NY for 48hrs to do an event. Under normal circumstances that would have been strange and fine but with the rain and hail at the beginning of the week slowing the populating of the city to a halt, many processes were delayed including my ability to provide soundscape for my peeps the days leading up to my departure. 

As a dj I feel quite apart from the music presented on the Playa overall. Interestingly, coupled with that feeling of isolation are experiences of the most love and feverent support from people in my huge camp. 

Since this year I was unable to sound-captain artcar gliding across the desert I took the sensation of unfulfilled expression and encapsulated it in Soultronica Vol.6. I enjoy being clever. The mix came together organically around our Burningman themes and is chalked full of secret-society catch phrases and glimmerings of shared magic and symbolism. I’m glad to share it with my camp, Laughing Monkey and the BM community at-large.

Between you and me, Erica’s got a huge crush on the intersection of future soul and future bass. When she’s not fully focused on playing Okayfuture & Soultronica sounds, her favorite is playing diverse tropical sets that often span all the way around the globe.

She’s a globe-trotting DJ, producer and music journalist transplant to LA via NYC. Beloved for her curation on stage and her tastemaker role in publications and radio airwaves, she operates in a world all her own she affectionately refers to as ERICALANDIA. She brings a forcefield with her when playing and is a master of moods & setting vibes. 

DJing, Ericalandia ping-pongs year round from coast to coast and loves adventuring to play in fav places like Tokyo, Paris and London. She’s warmed up the Beyhive for Beyonce, played alongside Aloe Blacc & Miguel and just got off mini-Asia tour with Grammy-nominated Soulection artist Starro. 

She loves the versatility in shifting gears to suit settings, be it a silent disco in the woods at SXSW The Guggenheim Museum, capsule release parties for Fenty/Rihanna or Coachella. Erica has been the DJ of choice for fashion lines like UK brand Top Shop, Converse, Fenty and Ivy Park. A fav gig? Playing for Reggie Watts bday at Ace Hotel DTLA. She’s also pretty tickled to be featured in New York Magazine, Martha Stewart & Forbes. But the love notes from James Blake and Francis and the Lights on her Soultronica mixes takes the cake.
