Katjusa

Djembabe is a woman percussion band from Slovenia, formed in March, 2010. For the basis of their musical creation they borrow traditional West African rhythms (with all the respect) to which they, considering their origins, add a pinch of Slav temperament. This musical energy coming from female hands and hearts is an interesting combination of ancient, wild, mystic, gentle and simple. Although they seem incompatible at first, Djembabe combine original African rhythms and Slav traditional songs and thus create intercultural dialogue. Music for dancing or raptured listening...
