Monomotion

Meet Djemfa, the stage alter-ego of artist and bedroom producer Jogaila Ivašauskas, who crafts home-brewed electronic music in his after work hours. 

Jogaila's musical odyssey began from years of playing djembe drum in a traditional West African music band "Afrikos būgnai". This   ignited a profound love for music and rhythms. Pseudonim Djemfa comes from a combination of two words: djembe and family. This blend symbolizes the tight-knit community surrounding the drum that laid a robust foundation for Jogaila's life.

The allure of electronic music captivated Jogaila during early experiences at psychedelic festivals in Lithuania's enchanting forests, marking a transformative shift in his musical trajectory. After years of drumming, he embraced a new chapter, leaving everything behind to channel his passion into electronic soundscapes.

In the first two years, Djemfa apeared on the National Lithuanian Radio show "Naktin" and delivered seven live sets, including a memorable performance at the "Samanos" festival.

Djemfa's approach is simple—he plays what he loves, seeking music that makes himself dance. Join Djemfa on this personal musical journey, where tradition meets innovation, and rhythms echo the joy of dance.
