Some 80's funk, soul inspired shit... Actually, to be real, Kool G Rap & Nas's "Fast Life" influenced this one... This was made using samples from "The Genie" by The BBQ Band. I put it together on the MPC Renaissance & I played the Bass in logic... Needs mixing & mastering... Enjoy... 

The Fast Life

Classic track that I produced for Mac Dre, in which he entitled "cutthroat soup"... I originally made this track back in like 2001 I believe? The guitar chops are from a Sade record, & the flutes I think I took from a 70's movie score??? RIP to the late great Mac Dre. He was honestly one of the coolest, most down to earth artists I ever had the pleasure to work with...

This was the 1st joint Dre & I worked on... I made this beat back in 2001, & when I originally put it together many of my artists I worked closely with always skipped over this one when it came to choosing beats to write to. When I met up with Dre, I was HIGHLY surprised that he chose this track. Needless to say, the song became a hit & one of Mac Dre's most popular songs after it was featured in the Treal TV video & on the AL Boo Boo album... It was definitely a challenge to put this one together because it has chops from multiple records, but most of the main chops were taken from a Prince song entitled "Head", including the drums & synth snippets... RIP Mac Dre!!!!

Another classic unreleased underground joint featuring my dude ZO. This beat was produced by Mark Noxx & Myself. I banged out the drums & sampled all his keyboard licks into the MPC 2000XL. I think we made this one back in 2002 & of course this was also recorded on some grimey shit in my bedroom studio with a crappy karaoke mic on a Roland digital 8 track. Free ZO!!!

This is an unreleased track that I did with U-Dub, otherwise known as UnderWorld. U-Dub consisted of Chuck Taylor & Spek Da Knuck formerly of Socialistik. We recorded this back in 2001. This was a banger, I wish we would've released it back then....

This is a track I did for Mean Doe Green (AKA: Doey Rock) late last year. It appeared on his last album. The sample is from a Tom Browne song called "Charisma", & although it very much sounds like a loop, it had to be chopped & time stretched quite a bit to get it to stay on beat when looped... Enjoy!!!

Track that I put down a while back... This is a joint that has multiple samples from multiple records... Everything from Quincy jones, David Axlerod, &amp; WhiteSnake to name a few of the sources that I sampled from... All samples put together on the MPC2000XL, no keyboards or computer programs used at all. It's a roughly mixed copy &amp; I added the "EPIK" tags so that you theifs can't take my beat LOL.... Fury

This joint is back to my grimy Boom Bap Hip Hop roots... Chops on here are from a variety of different sources including Iron Butterfly, Billy Paul, & the Death Wish movie score to name a few, but I think all & all, I probably used about 7-8 different sample sources to put this joint together. The mix is still rough because this is straight out of the MPC2000XL.... Just recently sent this to one of Sac's finest, but gonna keep the name a surprise for now LOL.... ENJOY!!!

This joint is a preview of the upcoming album me & Chase Moore are working on. The album is entirely produced by ME, with Chase on the vocals.
