Moroccan, born in 1980, Katy M discovers the vinyls for the first time back to 2001, since then she started learning DJing technics. she didn’t started her DJ career till she was 25 years old when she got a monthly residency at El Rancho Rabat.

The young DJane was attracted by Vocal Deep House, but wasn’t limited to this style only. She plays also some groovy music which has an electro and progressive touch. This is what gives her an original and charming flow that makes her different from others.

In 2008 Katy M decided to stop her residency to go further with her own ambitions and started being booked in different clubs of the kingdom : Privé, High Club (Rabat), SkyBar, Carré Rouge, Urban Villa (Casablanca), So Club (Agadir), Private Pink (Tanger), Ô Club (Fès), Set Club (Ifrane), Sanctuary (Mazagan), Loubou’s (Essaouira),
Lotus Club, Bombay, Jad Mahal, Silver, Theatro (Marrakech) & so many more…

In 2009 she has got the chance to jump to a new banging level when she played in front of 10.000 person at HIT PARADE Fest & Sun Festival Marrakech as well as having the opportunity to play along with Rachel Starr at Platinum Club (Rabat).

In 2010 she has been picked up by the famous Moroccan radio station ‘HITRADIO’ and signed a residency contract with them for a radio show every Monday for an airing date
which starts at midnight. The same year she played at MadJazz & Spring Deep House Festival…

Year after year, Katy M knew how to impress her fans and to be one of the principal elements of the Moroccan scene, and also by a remarquable show in 2011, with the vocalist Lilia at the international festival ‘MAWAZINE’.

At the same time, Katy M is following a musical education by taking music courses and training on the Piano, violons and drums and that what makes her do a great job and grow in the music universe easily.

She is known as the first female DJ in Morocco, which makes the medias focus on her. Katy M had since the beginning a major goal, which is having a professional level that will make counted as one of the best female DJs in the world, and also showing off with the Moroccan flag around the world…
