2014.. Done.

Can’t believe it’s that time of the year again..  Christmas presents, decorations, over indulgence and the Back to the Future Top 10 countdown (including dusty jingles).  

An amazing year of music, too difficult to pick just 10 really.  We have tried to give a varied and balanced set of tracks that reflect what we’ve played this year.  Expect some usual characters, labels and a few new comers too..

Sincerest thank for all the support this year, we couldn’t do it without you all.  We have over 23,000 plays since we started counting..  And we hit a decent 1,200/month average now.  Gob smacked.. Special love and thanks to KC. x

Back To The Future #31 (Top 10 Tunes Of 2014)

Hello and welcome to 2015.  We're back for the New Year with a pile of new music to play you.  Exciting times ahead and nothing more exciting than our first guest mix of the year.  We’re joined this month by The Invaderz.

The Invaderz made up of Darrell, Leo and Matt.  This London trio have been at the cutting edge of the scene for years and achieve the holy grail of ‘soulful (whilst still being) techy’ music... we are big fans. 

With releases on Advanced, C.I.A / DSC14 / Metalheadz / Commercial Suicide / InnerGround / Soul:R / Liquid V to name a few.. Their quality is guaranteed.  A really decent mix taking in some new and unreleased music, some classics and a fair smattering of tracks from their new album New Found Dialect, released in November on Commercial Suicide.. They are also really excited about this year with a new 12" coming on Commercial Suicide.  They have also signed tunes to Dutty Audio, Nemesis and Ingredients and just finished remixes for Mac 2 and the new MC Fats ‘We Gotcha’ project.

Back To The Future #36 (HLZ Guest Mix)

Into another month; Following our 3rd Birthday show last month, where Evolve went all Dillinja and I did a mix of our last 3 years top 10 tracks..   We are getting back to the regular format.

That means a mix from me, a mix from him, a classic a shout track.. And of course a guest mix.. And it’s another huge one.

This month we are joined by Xanadu!!  

A London based producer with a fantastic debut LP released in January this year called ‘Through The Oort Clouds’, released on Dom&Roland Productions.  This album is special for a couple of reasons…

1.  It’s the coolest album name ever!!
2.  It’s the first time Dom has ever released music on his label that he didn’t make.  

Xanadu will be playing in London at Xtrah’s Cyberfunk night on the 7th August at Fire in Vauxhall and with new music coming out on Dom&Roland he’s making some serious noise.. For a flavour of that check the exclusive mix he did for us.
