Trying out my new 1200's with Serato set up live. Gets a little base heavy towards the end due to not checking output levels before kicking off, very silly but was obviously excited to spin that night. 
A mix of all bits I'm feeling and playing out right now. Have a listen and also any feedback welcome.

Fargo Berties allsorts

Fargo (Thom Hutt) was born into music October the 6th 1981. The son of a rhythm and blues drummer he grew up with a wealth of music being played throughout the house. Everything from The Smiths, Led Zeppelin, Cream, Hendrix and The Cure records right through to Roy Ayers, Donald Byrd, Motown & Reggae classics. 

Fargo was fanatical about percussion and rhythm from a young age and was compelled by beat driven music. His childhood home was cluttered with instruments and objects of noise but it was a clear choice and a natural draw that Fargo felt for the drums. 

As he progressed with his passion for the drums he realized early on that there was something magical about making people move with his music. 

" I couldn't believe that something so simple as my foot on the kick drum playing a 4/4 beat could be so powerful to get people moving. I still remember that feeling...life changing" Nylon 2006. 

Over the years he gained experience playing with a number of bands and various session projects playing all styles and genres from Jazz, Latin and hip hop to rock, funk and disco. 

In 2003 Fargo moved to London, this was to be a very busy first year in the nations capital.

Within a year he had joined a London based band 'Scanners' (http://www.myspace.com/scanners) who after 12 months later signed a deal with Steve Aoki's label Dimmak Records(http://www.dimmak.com/) in LA (Bloc-party, The Rakes, Mystery Jets, MSTRKRT, Crookers, Bloody beetroots etc) 


The band then went on to release their debut album 'Violence is Golden' and supported its launch with numerous tours and shows around the globe. Scanners second album 'Submarine' is ready for release in the states early 2010 on Dimmak & Downtown Records (http://www.downtownmusic.com/)  (Santo-gold, Gnarls Barkley, Coldwar kids, Mos def).  




" When I started playing dj sets I got the same buzz as when I first started the drums. I try to make a real connection with the track, the party and the crowd.....I love making people have it and let go" 

Fargo is now based in London and holds resident DJ at some top clubs/parties amongst other various venues across the city and country. 

He has played parties and shows international and with many dj greats.

Its hard to pin a down a certain genre with Fargo.
