Sadly we won't be able to catch up in person for our Dirty Dozen anniversary - today marks 12 years of getting extra dirty on Sydney's hottest dance floor. You've been a big part of the past dozen years, so thank you.

Here's a one hour set I recorded from the ED nerve centre (also known as my front room). Although it's not the real thing, it's where every one of my sets (and parties) is conceived.

Head Honcho of Sydney’s iconic EXTRA DIRTY events and known for her numerous appearances at Mardi Gras Party, Inquisition and Tropical Fruits, Mel 'Feisty' Fitzpatrick is one of the queer scene’s most popular DJs. 

Sexy, hypnotic, hip grinding rhythms and rolling baselines characterise the Feisty sound, culminating in a style that delivers an unmatched energy to the dance floor.

Early on she cemented her credentials with top notch residencies, most notably with Crash and Dirty at Sydney’s legendary underground venue Phoenix as well as Queer Nation at Home Nightclub and regular guest appearances including Taboo (Singapore), SIR (Auckland), Beyond Black (Melbourne), WoofClub, Homesexual and the world famous Hellfire Club. She has also played alongside some of the biggest International names such as Carl Cox, Pagano, Ben Manson, Sneaky Sound System, Chicane, Boy George, Calagna and Boris (DE). 

In 2008, Feisty added another dimension to her career, teaming up with the late Mandy Rollins to create Extra Dirty, a party that has continued to bring an alternative sound to Sydney’s party scene and is now internationally recognised as a ‘must attend’ event.
