Trance Adixxtions EP.48 (RTO Radio TimeOut) [6.3.24]

Dark Side of the Moon is one of the greatest albums of all time, it pushed the boundaries of what an album can be, exploring themes personal to the band such as greed, life death, class. It strayed from Blues to almost EDM in places. It made you feel the emotion that the band felt when the made it.

We set out to produce a trance concept that could match the emotion and message of the album. Four DJs, each tasked with the strong themes of the album a quarter each. Progressive, Trance, Hard Trance and Psytrance all knitted together with Dark Side samples provided by the legendary Artena. As a group we feel we have created something special, something unique. We hope you enjoy Trance Side of the Moon.

Key52 (Chris Johnson Bio)
Chris learnt to DJ back in 2000s at a studio in Sheffield so that he could put together his own exercise to music mixes. Having switched from vinyl to digital over the summer of 2023 Chris has started to share more of his mixes online. He intends to play out more over the coming months through his association with the local Lincoln DJ Hub so that he can continue the transition from vinyl to digital and to build his skills. He is also set to take a music production course with a view to making his own tracks. Thanks to David for the opportunity to collab on this mix.

For or over 3 decades I have been in love with this music, starting off raving in the 90's to hardcore and transitioning to trance and never looking back.
Taking to the Digital Decks to mix the music I love in my man cave AKA the 'Trance Shed' I started recording my sets.
I am trying to create a unique style which represents my taste, all type's of trance will be played but always edging towards the harder sounds.
Since starting nearly a year ago I have had the privilege of playing guest mixes for a number of Artists including AstroFegs, Matt Rodgers, Stu Mutch, Slipcode and now David Watt 🔥
