Growing up in Lakeland Florida in the 90s, DJ Genesis was perfectly situated between Tampa and Orlando during the Golden Era of Breakbeats. Influenced by the DJs and Producers of the time, Genesis was entranced with the sound. He started to Learn how to mix using 2 Technics 1200s and a 2 channel Pioneer mixer, but quickly adapted to the new and emerging technologies in the DJ realm like Pioneer CDJs. But that wasn’t enough… He wanted to “create”. And he set out to learn how. “Genesis” by definition is creation…. Seemed to be the most fitting name… and it stuck with him! Remixes started appearing on websites as early as 2005, and by 2013 he was signed by 7 different record labels. Having hundreds of remixes and original music, Genesis has done official remixes for Kromozone Project, including the huge club hit “Take My Love”. Genesis now has current releases on major breakbeat labels such as ElectroBreakz, Gigabeat Records, Kaleidoscope Records, and Ravesta.
