"In the Mood" marks the first release from DJ Gigola's upcoming solo EP.
The EP is also named "In the Mood" and will be released the 9th of September 2022 on Live From Earth Klub.

With inspirations spanning from Samurai Movies of the 1950's across Hip-Hop from the 80's, to white-labelled tool-techno records and Anime from the 90's, Narciss has catapulted themselves into the contemporary hard dance spotlight with a flurry of furious cuts on Lobster Theremin and 1Ø PILLS MATE, and now the German producer readies four synth-wavey bops of pop-techno and hardcore on Eurodance Inc.

Taking as much influence from the golden-era of trance electronics as it is the Tresor heyday, it’s gradual incline from techno to eurodance is completed on ‘Power To The People’; a cut of deep trance that touches the border of cheese whilst maintaining a headsy, underground appeal.

DJ Gigola is a shape shifter and she comes in many forms and colours. Since her debut EP “Tender Trance” with Kev Koko, she has worked in a variety of collaborative efforts blurring boundaries between Techno and Pop music. For her first ever solo EP, DJ Gigola moves away from ethereal vocals to portraying her own signature club sound in an exploration focussed on rhythm and groove structures. Drawing from a multi-facetted palette of musical genres, DJ Gigola’s productions recontextualize references to rave culture into a refreshingly breezy high energy feel. Think crunchy baselines, frivolous melodies and euphoric breakdowns layered with complex percussive structures and catchy vocals. In combining her passion of being a front-row dancer with her experience as a performer, DJ Gigola weaves together a three-track EP that follows a simple thread: get everyone in the mood to dance.
The EP and its title track are aptly named “In the Mood”, with the single set to be released on the 14th of July. The EP itself will be available from 09.09.2022 in both digital and physical formats.

“Gratitude Practice” is the first single from DJ Gigola’s upcoming album “Fluid Meditations”, set to be released on the 3rd of February 2023. 
On her debut LP, she explores shared aspects of meditation and the dance experience, fusing them into a new form of introspective practice. Gigola expresses her approach through the lens of guided meditation with spoken word. Lyrically, she traverses three aspects in particular: awareness of the now, embodiment and unfolding of the ego. Her work presents these themes chronologically ordered in a continuous mix. The very personal compositions deliberately juxtapose leading themes of a virtual world, such as anonymity, the restlessness of online interaction, and the physical disembodiment.
We are guided through this process by her voice, which DJ Gigola places against a background of low-pass frequencies, field recordings, breathing techniques and ASMR. These are synthesised with a warp of organic percussions, goa, and psytrance - creating a meditation practice that goes beyond traditional methods by decontextualizing elements of rave as a catalyst for Gigola’s own exploration of escapism.
