Through her signature style of smooth space pop, Amanda Harper aims to recreate the light-headed, mysterious and wondrous mood described in her very stage name: Running in the Fog. Taking inspiration from 90s R&B and fusing it with the modern soul and atmosphere of artists like Jessie Ware, Little Dragon and Quadron, Running in the Fog’s newest single “$ign$” is perhaps her most essential song yet.

The San Francisco native is a true self-made singer-songwriter with a musical education in Philadelphia and self-taught expertise in Logic. This versatility and array of influences informs the hard-to-pin-down experience of “$ign$,” the first single off her upcoming album. Harper’s voice breaks through the layer-by-layer build of a dance beat, creating a hypnotic, lost, yet unmistakably pop experience. “$ign$” draws listeners to an inner place.
