New mix by me to celebrate my favourite time of the year, Daylight Savings, where you put your clock forward one hour in Spring.  It means we're heading into Summer, we've got longer days and more sunshine - you just can't really beat it. Hence the corny pun for the mix, 'Daylight Ravings'.
 
It's been just over 6 months since my debut DJ gig and I'm thankful all the support and bookings since then. This mix is for everyone who has supported me or taught me! 

I also want to acknowledge and thank Reuben Winter for giving me advice when I started out putting together mixes a couple years ago. It's been the most important advice that's entirely shaped what I do.  Forever grateful for his wisdom and aroha.

Planet Mu Recording artist, Gobstopper label boss, Boxed club night founder Mr.Mitch 
provides the third PRESSURE release of 2019. This strictly limited, blue and yellow splattered 
vinyl platter is futurist dancehall at its most exhilaratingly demented. 

Random synth patterns, chaotic bleep emissions and all round oscillating madness ensures this furiously fresh track, flows freakily, like a bogle frenzied droid transmitting from Kingston, Jamaica, 
year 2049.

Kevin Martin aka The Bug, nagged Mitch into submission, to release this Acid Ragga killer, after the PRESSURE label CEO, heard ‘Not Modular’ standing out clearly from Mitch’s gobsmacking one hour ‘Techno Dancehall Mix’ at the end of 2018. 

And as a tribute to South East London don dada Mitch, The Bug himself decided to slice, splice and dice ’Not Modular’ into two additional atomised remixes. The Bug’s  ‘Straight’ remix, is sub aquatic bashment, pulsating deeply from the bottom of the ocean, buried in a blizzard of white noise and disembodied, hypnotic chimes, with panic sirens set to stun. Whilst the ‘Raw remix’ is no less disorientating and funky, sounding like Lenky’s classic ‘Diwali’ riddim rewritten by an 808 clap addict, with hips set to full rotation. Conclusively alien and ridiculously infectious.

"The C Powers sound is informed by years spent building electronics and collecting records in Chicago, honing crowd control skills in the foggy clubs of London, and helping foster a small yet respected community in the marshes of Savannah GA. Cici began their dj career at age 11 when they finally had saved enough allowance for a set of GLI decks and mixer that came bundled with a sampler. Their current sets often make full use 3 decks in order to toy with the notions of the "sampled" and the "live". While residing back in their home state of Georgia, Cici was holding resident DJ posts at Atlanta's HUNGER club night (with the esteemed TWINS) and their own Cape Fear in Savannah GA (initially founded with SafeSound). C was also the resident DJ for Savannah's own legendary and trashy House Of Gunt performance group who create cross sensory stimulation experiences involving gender blasting action and choreography and also brought in many talented selectors to their MIX events.
