"Siba" pour anarchie, "Sawt" pour son et "System" pour l’idée d’une sono mondiale : héritée de luttes historiques, de la culture populaire et du folklore marocain, ici la musique contestataire se mêle aux racines nord africaines de l’artiste. Enfant du hip-hop et de la culture DIY, il puise son inspiration dans des 45 tours amassés dans son home-studio au fil des années. Le résultat : un voyage dans les traditions musicales du Maroc, de la musique Chaâbi, Aïta, Raggada, Amarg, Gnaoua, aux allures futuristes, réinventée et taillée pour les dancefloors, à mettre entre les mains de tous les DJs !

Siba Sawt-System is the result of about fifteen years of musical research, a return to Aziz Konkrite's roots in his native region, and a long period of confinement. "Siba" stands for anarchy, "Sawt" for sound, and "System" for the concept of a global sound system: inherited from historical struggles, popular culture, and Moroccan folklore, here, protest music blends with the North African roots of the artist. As a child of hip-hop and DIY culture, he draws inspiration from the 45 RPM records collected in his home studio over the years. The result is a journey through the musical traditions of Morocco, from Chaâbi, Aïta, Raggada, Amarg, Gnaoua, to futuristic sounds, reinvented and tailored for the dancefloors, to be placed in the hands of all DJs!

Tribak is proud to present the debut EP of Geneva's well kept secrets : John Levi’.

Active in the local scene as a DJ, he is known as a sharp selector, he always has a jack in the box in his sleeve, keeping the dancefloor burning.

In his debut release as a producer, John Levi’ gives birth to Son of La Zone (ghetto or neighbourhood in French), a reflection of the streets and corners of his hometown. He fuses middle eastern vibes with gritty bass, dancehall and intense percussion, the sub will rumble.

Vacarme de la Zone, (noise of the Zone) is an exploding industrial banger with a violin sample that intensifies the tension to the maximum. 

The EP will be released on the 15th , digital pre-order is open!

Tribak records is a Berlin based label \ state of mind curated by Tropikal Camel, sounds that have roots in concrete and sand.

Guedra Guedra is DJ/Producer exploring tribal polyrhythms of the past and dancefloor innovations from the contemporary underground. Based in Casablanca/Marrakech, Morocco, his productions are defined by high energy tribal bass, psychedelia that is rooted in the cadence and mystery of ancient rhythms.

Guedra Guedra 'When you use a studio to record, you won’t find the real emotion that you would find in a natural environment or situation. Tribal music from Africa is a social practise, it must be played in a certain place, in a certain special moment and in the right environment, it’s not something that can be ‘recreated’ in a studio. So for me capturing these moments when they are actually happening is so important, because that’s the only way you can encapsulate the real rhythm of their practice.’
