Anthony Rother enters our REC series at Fuse. At the vanguard of the electro scene, few artists like Rother can boast a 20-plus years career in such a prolific way. And one thing's for sure, this rich heritage seeps through this two-hour hybrid mix, recorded within the hallowed walls of our beloved Room 01.

With Rother's formula, you're in for alluring, overcast electro rhythms and ethereal melodies that weave together ideally for a buzzing club night. Ron Albrecht stands behind the decks of the most iconic clubs on the planet. His sets are deep, uncompromising, and emotionally charged – a captivating fusion of contemporary techno structures and the raw, honest roots of electronic music. With an exceptional sense for dramaturgy, he reads the energy of the dancefloor and guides his audience on an intense, almost meditative journey.

But his story goes much further back – deep into the early days of German techno culture. In the 1990s, Albrecht was more than just a DJ; he was a cultural pioneer. In 1994, he founded Gerberei in Schwerin, a club that quickly became one of the most important venues for electronic music in the state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. For nearly two decades, he shaped the club as co-founder, organizer, and resident DJ – providing a stage for both national and international artists, far from the major cities. At the same time, from 1995 to 2006, he ran the legendary record store Easy Traxx, which became a hub and source of inspiration for many DJs and music lovers. It wasn’t just a place to buy records – it was a space where attitude and taste were curated, rooted in a deep understanding of vinyl culture and sonic aesthetics.

In a personal interview with Andre Kronert, Ron Albrecht talks about his first encounters with electronic music, the magnetic pull of Berlin’s early club scene, and the pivotal moments that shaped his path. His stories offer insight into a constantly evolving scene – and into the mind of an artist who continues to approach it with integrity, depth, and passion.

Me and Ben thought it would be fun to play a long DJ set together at Globus, the upstairs floor at Tresor in Berlin. 
We last played together (as Frequency 7) in May 2013. This time we played a ‘back to back’ DJ set, I’m pretty sure playing 2 tracks each for the whole six and a half hour set. All we had in mind beforehand was to start with some Dub and ‘see where it goes’. 

It was a lot of fun so we wanted to share the recording with you.

Recorded as a tribute to a full year spent living in the seaside suburb of Glyfada, in the south of Athens, this deep techno mix reflects the warmth, freedom, and clarity of a Greek summer. It’s a softer, more introspective side of Nastia’s musical identity – a sound shaped by sunlight, sea air, and still moments of joy.

Blending elements of deep techno, melodic techno, and deep progressive rhythms, this set explores a more vibrant and emotional soundscape. Each track was carefully selected to capture the feelings, memories, and gratitude tied to a chapter of life lived close to nature and far from the fast pace of constant touring.

To celebrate this turning point, we are proud and delighted to host such an iconic figure from the Techno scene. Starting his DJ career in the 80’s, Orlando Voorn is a pioneer in all meanings of the word. 

The Dutch legend finely highlights his impressive and wide knowledge of music in this contribution and manage to merge in one piece all the shades of Techno we offered so far in the series. Hats off!

Hell borrowed the title for his second proper album from the Giorgio Moroder supergroup of the '70s, so it's not surprising that Munich Machine looks to disco culture for its starting point. But of course, that's only the starting point. Munich Machine is a varied collection of acid, techno and house that marries Hell's vision of acid-electro to an assortment of straight-ahead dance tracks and a few truly odd covers -- including a stunning remake of the Barry Manilow chestnut "Copacabana" and a reworking of "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" with the lion replaced by a dominatrix. It's not exactly a commercial venture, but Munich Machine occasionally possesses the flavor of a retro-disco record like Daft Punk's Homework. - Text by John Bush

Seeing, and envisioning - that is of enormous relevance to Hell. He managed to convey pure artistic prowess as well as pure style during his thirty year DJ career. The individual look, the do-it-yourself approach, the elitism. That's how it grew.
