For those who don't know Get Down was a small music event at The Ranch (old Mill Inn) in Seaham, the car park got turned into an arena which played house music all day and on the night the party moved into "The Barn" where I played my sets I would play this style of music and it absolutely popped off every time. Unfortunately the council put a stop to the events so I've been wanting to do a little tribute mix series.

Starting the series here at #2 because I have already recorded one of the sets I did there and like the 1st mix this is a variety of genres from trance to hard house to italo dance and anything else that fits well at 150bpm

The last ever balter festival. I've DJ'd on the northern embassy stage for 4 years running and had a mint time every year, gutted the festival has had to call it a day.

I uploaded this for a chance to play at the legendary PFP Robot stage at the great and wonderful BOOMTOWN! Sadly I didn't win the comp but was happy enough with the mix so its staying up, I'm thinking of renaming it now but not certain.

Love mixing these tunes they're proper reminiscent of what I was into as a young whipper snapper getting into the rave scene so I thought it would be rude not to drop in some nostalgic flavours as I always do and the bpm feels and sounds unreal at 165bpm, but I had to push it up to 170 a little bit towards the end for the tunes I wanted to finish the set with.

This is a proper bouncy set from start to finish, please share the fuck out of this for me.

Oioi — I'm DJ Hoot! From Seaham to sound system I've been spinning nocturnal beats and flying through frequencies since 2003, originally starting off on a pair of belt driven Numarks I got for my 14th birthday which were so sensitive and super hard to get the beat match right, I upgraded to the Stanton STR830s after a year of sussing out the basics. I then finally got my first pair of Technics 1210mk2 in 2005 and never looked back. 

After years of stacking crates, I reluctantly made the switch to digital when vinyl releases started to dry up, the music always comes first and I had to keep up with the times as well as the tunes.

Over the years I've held different residencies, in local clubs playing house and techno, different raves, and making regular appearances at underground free parties delivering midnight rhythms from dusk til drop, this has blessedly has took me to play at some of the UKs best festivals such as Balter (RIP) and the mad and mighty Boomtown, but I still hunger for more.

These days I’m not out as much as i'd like to be — the scene has changed a lot, but the passion definitely hasn’t. So if you’re a promoter and you like my sets, you can DM me direct for bookings.

I play a wide multitude of genres from House and Trance to Hardcore and Techno with all the sub genres that come with it all, of course being from the north east the Makina energy runs through my veins and more recently the Hard Bounce 240 km/h sound in addition to the revival of Hard Trance/Hard Style reverse basslines in todays Hard Techno.
