Well done Hugo! Class session once again!

Episode 189 was a very special show!! For the first time, myself and co-host Greg Middleton joined forces for a LIVE back 2 back set in Greg's home studio, where we spun two hours of grooves, edits and remixes from across the amazing decade of music that was the 1980s!

We played tracks from Prince, Michael Jackson, Madonna, Pet Shop Boys, Bananarama and Blondie to name but a few, with edits and reworks from the likes of Henry Greenwood, Dr Packer, Jet Boot Jack, Beaten Space Probe, Bergwall, Dario Carminita, SanFranDisko, Dimitri from Paris, and even one or two from ourselves!

David Russell Lee is a British DJ, producer and Remixer Icon.

One of the first albums I ever bought on Vinyl in the 90’s was the “Can’t Get High Without You Compilation” And back then I actually thought the artist was really named Joey Negro. Not knowing then that Dave created the name using a mix of Pal Joey “Reach Up To Mars and J. Walter Negro “Shoot The Pump”. He thought at that time, the name Dave Lee was too boring against the likes of junior Vazquez, David Morales and Frankie Knuckles in the House Music Scene. 

Following the George Floyd movement in 2020 Dave Lee dropped the Joey Negro Moniker for good. 

Having such a huge Discography of music to choose from it was difficult for me to discard some amazing tracks. In the end I’ve chosen 40 tracks which mean the most and have the best memories for me, so sorry to my followers and listeners if your favourite tunes didn’t make the Final Cut.

Of course I have to say a huge thank you to Dave Lee for all his hard work, producing such incredible music for all these years. I can’t wait to hear you play live again and will look forward to all your future releases.

Hi Everyone, Here is my entry for this year’s Valley Fest DJ Competition. Valley Fest is a huge festival taking place from the 1st till the 4th of August 2024 at Chew Valley Lake in Somerset. This year’s line up includes Sister sledge, Sophie Ellis Bexter, Tiny Tempah, Fabio & Groove Rider, Orbital & Many, Many More.
