I'm happy to share this very special Bass House & Tech Hosue set from Friday night at the 2022 Friends & Family Campout in Saratoga Springs.  It was an amazing weekend with the highest vibrations, wonderful people and stellar production; and also very meaningful to me since I have been attending FnF events since the 90s when I was just a 16 year old baby DJ and this was my first time playing at this legendary campout.  This set came straight from the heart and it felt awesome to feel the reciprocal love from all the beautiful faces on the dancefloor.  I hope you enjoy this as much as I enjoyed playing it! <3

I'm happy to share my live recording from Opulent Temple Thursday night/Friday morning at Burning Man 2022.  I had the pleasure of playing after Diplo, Vintage Culture and Marten Hørger. This set was the highlight of my burn; I put together a special Bass House and Tech House set laced with banging remakes of rave classics that got the dancefloor as lit as our fire effects. DJ ICON - BE MY BB: V-Day Luv & Bass Mix

I have a new studio mix to share but you may be surprised to hear it’s a much softer sound than the bangers you’re used to from me.  I recorded my first chill mix in 2013, I loved making it and it received a lot of love; since then I’ve intending to make more of them but never had the time.  Lately, I’ve been on an introspective path of self-discovery and emotional awakening and have been listening to beautiful melodic Chill and Bass Music that is conducive to my journey which got me extremely inspired to record a new Weapons of Chill Vol. 2 to share with all of you.  

Musically, this beautiful melodic journey is like 70 mins of looking right into my soul. Technically, it was much more challenging than an EDM mix because of the harmonic and tempo changes between transitions but I worked hard on it and quite happy with the result.  I hope you feel the love I poured into this and that it brings you joy and ALL the feels during this transition into shorter days and longer nights.

I'm happy to share my set from our flagship Opulent Temple White Party in San Francisco this past Saturday April 1.  I can say without exaggeration that it was our best White Party yet; everything was beautiful... the production, decor, visuals, music, costumes, people and the elevated vibes all night long. I played at 1AM after Syd Gris and loved looking out to the sea of friends and dear ones dressed in their fabulous whites. It was truly a special and spectacular night, if you missed it you can catch some of the magic in this set. 

For the last 16 years, I've been grateful to call Opulent Temple my family and home on the playa.  The magic and joy that we co-create together as a labor of love is truly special and unrivaled by any other endeavor in my life.  <3

26 years in the making... I would have loved to share my live recording but due to a technical difficulty, I had to recreate the magic in a studio mix. It was amazing to kick off the new year with joy, love and hope rocking my set on the Heavy Petting Zoo stage to a sea of party people and all my friends up on stage. I’m happy to share my set from the Opulent Temple White Party takeover at Playground.  It was a very special night and also a DJ highlight of the week! It was an honor to be included on such a massive lineup including Carl Cox, Gorgon City, Umek, Hatiras + more.  It was also very gracious of Carl to welcome OT into his domain to host the White Party there since we didn't have our own sound camp this year. DJ ICON Live from the Opulent Temple White Party @ Playground, Burning Man 2019

I'm super stoked to be able to share my set from this year's epic San Francisco Decompression on Saturday October 19, the official end to the 2019 Burning Man season and beginning of the road to 2020.  Opulent Temple and Duck Pond collaborated on what will be known as the biggest, baddest stage at Decom of all time!  We brought our O-Pod and fire effects; it was the closest thing to the real Burning Man experience we've ever done.  We were ON FIRE... literally! 

I had a ridiculously fun time rocking a birthday set and poofing the fire after Syd Gris at 10pm.  I hope this House/Bass House/Future House set with some crowd pleasers and a nostalgic throwback at the end will make you bop your head and shake your booty. Without doubt, DJ ICON has become an iconic figure in the U.S. dance music industry and beyond. With a career spanning 25 years, she has captivated audiences the world over with her bass-heavy cross-genre House, Breaks and Bass Music sound; magnetic stage presence, skillful DJ mixes and productions. It’s no wonder why she’s been dubbed one of the leading ladies of this domain.  

Starting in 1996 at age 16, ICON diligently rose through the ranks of the San Francisco underground at a time when female DJs and promoters were few. In just a few years, her skills and growing reputation had already landed her numerous residencies in San Francisco, as well as a steady flow of stateside and international bookings. ICON has also gained success in radio and television in addition to rocking dancefloors. Among her accolades are releases on well-known labels, features in two TV series, a spot in Shejay’s “Top 100 Female DJs”, being voted one of San Francisco’s best in the Nitevibe “Top 10 DJ Dreamteam”, scoring a coveted sponsorship from Pioneer Pro DJ and building a huge fanbase on her social media pages and Soundcloud.

She has also made her way onto the small screen: In 2001, she was featured as one of twelve up-and-coming American DJs in “Disc Jockey,” a 12-part documentary series that aired on Showtime™. In 2004, she was the DJ on the internationally syndicated MTV™ series “The Wade Robson Project,” a dance competition hosted by the self-titled choreographer.

Lastly, ICON’s production endeavors have proven to be as exciting as her DJ career. Her releases on Illeven Eleven Records: “Welcome To My Dancefloor” with Dustin Hulton featuring Nikki Carabello and “Wha?” a collaboration with Bay Area producer Ground_Control had steller reviews and support by leading artists in the industry. “Dancefloor” charted at #8 and #22 on the Beatport Breakbeat and Electro charts with a great review in Mixmag. The KMFX remix of “Wha?” charted at #12 on the Beatport Breakbeat chart. ICON & GC have also done remixes of “Reload” for Deekline and Ed Solo feat. Million Dan on Rat Records and “Draggin” for Enough Weapons on Vibrance Recordings.

So what’s next for this powerhouse bass princess? More mixes, productions and remixes are in the works, as she continues to make her mark in the worldwide dance music industry.
