Original Gidman aka Jon Brent is an obsessive record collector and eclectic selector. He’s Been hauling vinyl since a young teenager. Musically schooled from the early days of electro Hip-Hop, through to the 2nd Summer Of Love, and Gilles Peterson’s “That’s How It Is” club night at Bar Rumba.  Now at the age of 51 he has accumulated a very diverse record collection, covering all genres and styles from Jazz to Jungle, Hip-Hop to House and Two-Tone to Techno. Following on from co-curating the long running #DuskDubs mixtape series, Jon finds himself part of the “Geek-Out Zone” as featured on DJ Billy ‘Daniel’ Bunter’s Music Mondays Radio Show on Kool London alongside Ritchie K and Jonny Scratch, where the GEEK’s focus on a particular style/genre and go in deep. 
This hour long mix features some of his favourite old and new releases, taking the listener always on a journey through Soul, Hip-Hop, House, Acid, Broken and Techno.

93 Darkside

DJ Intersect brings over two and a half decades of musical expression to Jungletrain's newest bi-weekly show, Bang the Drums. As a South London native, direct access to early 90's formative raves such as Innersense at Laserdrome and then on to World Dance at Lydd Airport and The Roller Express and the quintessential club experiences of The Paradise Club and Orange enabled Intersect to navigate the curious sounds of emerging breakbeat culture first-hand as it developed. Finding his musical interests aligned with the darker, no-fluff vibes of Laserdrome, Intersect along with his brother, DJ Prestige, opened the record shop White Label Records on Camberwell Road in 1995 to promote the culture. 

Influences throughout the years include Fabio, Randall, LTJ Bukem, Doc Scott, Ratty and Tango, Equinox, Chris Inperspective, DJ Stretch, Y2, DJ Lee, DJ Trace and more. 

When Intersect isn't chopping it up on Jungletrain, you can find him supporting the London-based Diggin in the Crates collective.
