Irs (Iris), formally known as DJ Irs, is a Brooklyn native, New Jersey resident that deviates music/poetry /emcees & write. He is known in the NJ/NY scene for the works he's done with artist such as Gemineye (HBO Def Poet), "Raw Talent" nominated The Best Spoken Word Album Of The Year for 2011 by The NPA (National Poetry Awards), Silent Knight (Band Called Fuse), Barron (RedClay), Kyle Rapps (Mayhem Poets), Orikl As-Salaam (Urbanites In Flight) and many others. Regularly spinning the open mic scene, Irs quickly became the house deviator for many popular showcases Hip Hop Meets Poetry, Cypha Saturdays, Culture Shock, as well as The New Jersey Youth S.L.A.M. Team, Slam Global Enterprises and many others. 

Irs debut album as a producer, "For Those Listening", released in 2010, blend artistic worlds that have molded him into the artist he is today.  Releasing with artist like  Chilo, Big Mike (HBO Def Poet), John (Lil Sci) Robinson of hip hop legendary group Scienz of Life, Jerr Ra Blues, Physical Graffiti, Rashad Sun, Venomous2000 and many more.

Irs is currently working on releasing solo work as an emcee.
