24 Year-old River is a multi-talented singer, songwriter and producer from South East London.
River first made her debut in 2014 on the renowned Parisian fashion record label 'Kitsune' featuring on Tobtok - Savanna with remixes from Keljet, Cesear and Taneli. Savanna went straight in at No. 1 on the Hype Machine chart along with support from UK YouTube Channel and tastemaker ‘Mr Revillz’ racking up over 696,197 views. Savanna was also supported by Irish and Swedish radio stations RTL and P2 and has close to over 500,000 streams on Spotify.
2015 saw a wave of exciting projects, starting first with River’s feature and collaboration with the famous worldwide house duo “The Shapeshifters” titled 'It's You' released on the prestige UK house label led by Simon Dunmore, ‘Defected’. The track was supported by BBC Radio 1, BBC 6, Ministry of Sound Radio and RTL in Ireland with remixes also from Purple Disco Machine and No Logo.
River was then back with the famous ‘Kitsune’ label for her next venture, only this time with Brazilian producer ‘Cesare’ and their track ‘Want You’ with remixes from Vanbot, Le Flex and Ekkah. Want You received incredible online support ranging from Dancing Astronaut & Earmilk to the culture fashion and art focused ‘Wonderland Magazine’ as well as Northern Transmission, Caveman Sound and PressPLAY! The track was initially also premiered with national radio station Virgin Radio in France! Want You was also synced with international clothing brand Uniqlo for an online campaign ad.
And just when 2015 couldn’t have looked any better for young River, she then featured again with Perfect Havoc’s nu-disco genius ‘Tobtok’ and his latest record ‘Fast Car’ – a cover of Tracy Chapman’s biggest hit. Within 7 days the track hit over 1 million streams on Spotify whilst previously hitting 1 million plays on Soundcloud within 19 days and becoming an online smash!
Fast Car Feat. River now has over 12 million streams on Spotify and has charted in multiple countries such as Australia (19) and Ireland (21) as well as being play-listed on the UKs biggest stations ‘ Capital FM ‘ and ‘ Kiss Fresh ‘ with continued support all over the world as well as Shazam championing the single as “Song of the Day” !
2016 sees more fantastic music from River, with her debut original ‘Midnight Kiss’ being released on Perfect Havoc’s debut nu-disco compilation series as well as features confirmed with the likes of Arno Cost on Protocol Recordings, GRMM and Tyler Touche on Of Leisure, Televisor on Armarda Music, Keljet on Universal Music Netherlands and more.
