Up next on our ReBirth podcast series is Braxton! Ahead of Braxton making his debut at Egg London this Friday, he has cooked up a mix for us to sink our teeth into!

DJ Bio 

British DJ and producer Braxton has been prolific since signing to Anjunadeep in 2019, adding his distinctive style to their compilations and live shows.

As well as hallowed spots on the Anjunadeep Vol.11 and Vol. 12, in 2021 he released breakbeat favourite Chiaroscuro/Torn to critical acclaim and three singles on the Colorize label – including Holding On, a collaboration with Laurent L’aiment.

In 2022, he will play Colours in Hoxton with Spencer Brown, the 5 Palm in Dubai alongside Dosem and Lutrell, and Fabric in London with James Grant and Jody Wisternoff.

His official remixes include work for MARSH, RÜFÜS DU SOL,Tourist, and Above & Beyond, who featured his remix of Eternal on their 10 Years of Group Therapy compilation.

Braxton’s music has featured on playlists by Sasha, BBC Radio 1’s Chillest Show and Jaguar on BBC Introducing Dance.

Joie de Vivre - Episode 423 coming from Miami

This week we welcome Redfreya to the second half of Deep Mondays on the Beach with special guest.
Freya Cazorla aka Redfreya is an emerging artist in the London Deep House / Deep Tech scene. As a selector, she is drawn to melodic, percussive and hypnotic tracks, and builds sets that weave deep groove lines with emotive vocals. She holds a monthly show on Bloop London Radio (last Tuesday of the month at 7pm), and has played in venues across London including Brixton Courtyard, Dalston Superstore and The Cause, to name a few. Although she regards herself as a relative newcomer to the scene, she has been working hard on curating guestmixes as well as her monthly radioshows, and has a lot of projects lined up for 2021.
 A longtime music lover, she started her musical career with a solid grounding in classical training as a flautist, singer and pianist. She had always been drawn to minimalism, and was inspired by the likes of Philip Glass, Nils Frahm, Yann Tiersen and The Cinematic Orchestra. On a trip to Cologne, she was able to experience the combination of deep & melodic dance music played on a top quality soundsystem, and became totally fascinated by the genre. Initially she discovered the works of Nicolas Jaar and David August, and this soon progressed to a broadspectrum love of all melodic, deep and progressive genres (and occasionally a hint of techno/minimal too).
 "I feel so honoured and welcomed by Jake, to have the opportunity to play for Deep Mondays and  share a lineup with some really talented fellow artists. I really hope you enjoy the show, I sifted hard through my collection to curate a relaxing and emotional journey of melodic and uplifting tracks".
